"Hey dude, yah know theres a new girl?"
"Ouh! I saw her, she came in late. But shes hot as hell!" I listen in on my friends conversation as i put my tray on my usual lunch table.
New girl. Highland hasn't had a new kid in a while.
The lunchroom get really quiet as a person walks in. Not just a person, a beautiful girl. She came in wearing skinny jeans, combat boots, a hoodie that says "Be Happy" on it and her hair down naturally. She was gorgeous overall.
The whole lunchroom watched her as she swiftly walked to the lonely line to get her lunch. She walks out, head down to the exit. Why's she leaving? And where?
"Guess shes a loner." Tommy says just as she stepped out. The whole lunch room got louder as the students begin to talk about 'her'.
'Shes hot!'
'Loser...'
'I would love to get that'
'Damn...'
The many conversations are heard. The 'loser' one, probably from the girls. The stuck up ones. Cant stand them.
"I heard her names Valentine Tanner." Chris starts. Chris know everyone, even new kids. How? I don't know.
"Whats her middle name,
Mr. Know-It-All?" Will asks. He cant know her middle name. Can he?
"Ray. Valentine Ray Tanner." He says back sternly. Woah this dude does know 'everything'.
"Cough-Cough, creeper." Tommy say as our table burst out with laughter. Chris just sits there sending a glare to Tommy. Just then the bell rings informing us to get up and leave to our seventh period, photography for me.
I stand and begin to leave. I say my 'good byes' to my group and make my way to my locker to leave my stuff.
"Hey, Ash-ers..." A high pitched voice says while grabbing me by the sleeve. I know just who it is, Emma Vay. An annoying bitch that has been trying to get my in bed and bang her.
Ha. Like i'd do that with a girl that has been touched my the whole school. Gross.
"Bye, Emma." I say sternly walking away from her and starting to put in ny combo. I hear the pitter patter of those annoying heels of hers.
"But Ashton, i could make you feel amazing." I already feel the puke coming up.
"Why would I want a person like you to do that to me?" Not to mention she probably has STD's or something gross on her. I look back at her shocked face with a smirk shut my locker and walk away.

I walk in photography with seconds to spare. "Nice speed, Mr. Kib."
Mr. Conce says, impressed.
"Thank you, thank you." I say waving my hands up and down with a witty smile.
Mr. Conce cracks me up. Hes chilled and laid back like Mr. Bliz my art teacher.
I walk to my usual seat in the back. I don't talk to anyone here because i don't want to, but then again there are assignments i have to do with these people and I do them. I have a B in this class and i'd like to keep it that way.
"Okay class-" Mr. Conce is interrupted by the door being cracks open. All the heads in the room, even mine, turn to the door. In walks in the same girl that walked in lunch, Valentine.
She walks to the desk and hands the blue eyed teacher a note and tells him something in a hushed whisper.
Mr. Conce simply nods and points to the seat in the back two chairs far from me.
Why didn't he make he introduce her self?
"Okay class, today your taking a test on 'how to' use a camera properly." He says sternly. "You all should know this stuff and i not, i'll go over it." He adds.
We all get a paper and a pencil and start to answer every single question.
'Do you play with a camera?'
Ha like people would say yes to that.
After i'm done i stand and hand in the test.
"After your done you can do what you'd like to, because thats all i had planed to do." He say as i begin to walk to my seat.
I sneak a glance at Valentine and watch her pull out a book.
'13 Reasons Why' interesting. I watch as Derek goes up to Valentine and begins to talk to her.
"Your new here huh?" He asks.
She nods eyes still focus on her book.
"You don't talk much." No she doesn't.
She shakes her head 'no'
Just then the bell rings. I watch as she stands, puts her book away and leaves Derek behind. Ha, he needed that.
Derek is the biggest player in our school. He goes with anyone he wants, Valentine is the first to reject him.
Valentine's very different.
