Chapter 8

We got to the venue and luckily it was indoor because it was burning hot outside. Alex went on stage and did his thing. He's gotten so good over the year and the whole concert was sold out in like 5 minutes. At the show he announced he had a new song. When did he have time to write a new song?

"Okay guys this song is called superstar. It's about a very special girl in my life." he said then music started playing.

"Baby your my superstar

Girl your company is more than enough for me

your like my one girl show.

as far as I can see your my top celebrity

so imma let the world know"

He finished the song and I just stood there with my mouth hanging open. He came backstage and I ran to him and gave him a giant hug. "That song was soooo sweet!" I said to him. "Who said it was about you?" he asked with a straight face. "I'm kidding!" he said when he saw my reaction.

"I love you Chloe" he said giving me a quick kiss. "I love you too" I said. "I'm taking you on a date tomorrow" he said winking as he walked away to go get changed. We got back to the hotel at 11:00 and I was exhausted. Alex and I went straight to bed when we got into our room. I went to sleep thinking about where Alex is taking me tomorrow.

I wake up and Alex isn't in bed next to me. I get up and look around frantically. Usually I'm the one up first. Suddenly hands wrap around my waist from behind. I turn around quickly to be face to face with Alex. "Don't do that! I was scared!" I said playfully slapping his arm. "Sorry babe" he said to me. Even after 4 years I love it when he calls me babe.

"What time is it?" I ask him. "About 2 PM" he said. "2!!! Why didn't you wake me!!" I ask him getting mad. "Because you look so cute when your sleeping" he said blushing. "Awwwe. So where are you taking me today?" I ask curious. "It's a surprise" he said winking and going into the bathroom to get ready for the day. I should have known he would say that.

What's up with him and surprises? haha. After we were both ready we headed to our date. The limo arrived at a roller-skating rink. "We're going roller-skating?" I asked him. "Yep! Let's go!" he said grabbing my hand and dragging me into the building. We got inside and got skates then headed onto the rink. I haven't been roller-skating in forever, so this should be interesting.

Music started playing and Alex intertwined our fingers and we started skating. At that moment the world just drifted away. I don't know why but skating always does that to me. We skated and just joked around for 3 hours then left. "That was so much fun!" I said as we were walking down the sidewalk. "Yeah it was. We're going one more place before we go home though" he told me.

We walked for about 5 minutes and ended up at the beach. The last time we were at the beach he proposed to me. This time we just walked along the shore hand in hand not worrying about anything. Just enjoying each others company. It was perfect. That is until Alex picked me up bridal style and headed into the water. "Alex put me down!!!" I screamed hitting his arm playfully.

He didn't answer. Instead he just kept walking out into the ocean until he was knee deep. He dropped me in the water and let me tell you it was FREEZING. "Alex! Your gonna get it!" I said splashing him. We splashed water back and forth until we started getting really cold. "Let's get back to the hotel, it's getting pretty late" he told me. I hopped on his back and we headed back.
