part 7// steph

his lips were so soft. i never wanted it to end.

my train of thought was quickly interrupted. "hey guys i-" it's grayson.

we quickly pull apart. this is bad. this is really bad.

grayson walks off and ethan follows him. i skate off of the rink and sit at a table. i check my phone. nothing new, as always.

wow they're taking a long time. i don't want to interrupt them though. they're probably talking it out.  fixing it.

i grab a dollar out of my back pocket and buy a Pepsi.

i scroll through instagram and look at snapchat stories. people skate by multiple times. people walk in and out of the skating rink.

i look at my phone. they've been talking for 45 minutes where are they? i decide to text my mom and tell her to come get me. i slip off my skates, turn them in, and go to the bathroom.

i push open the heavy door and hear noises. it's people kissing. ugh why here? in the bathroom?

i go in the stall and as i walk in and lock the door, i see blonde hair pass by the stall through the crack. then another person walks by. he looks very familiar.

i quickly open the door and look in the corner. it's a talk, pretty, blonde haired girl wearing a crop top and high waisted shorts. she was one of the people making the noise in the bathroom. she looks at me and so does the other person. i see who it is.

i turn and run out of the bathroom, and out of the building. i get outside and seconds later, i hear the door close again.

"stephanie wait. i can explain. i-" he tries.

"ethan, i trusted you!! you said you were my friend! we kissed earlier today!! THEN I GO TO THE BATHROOM AND SEE YOU MAKING OUT WITH SOMEBODY? HOW COULD YOU?" i turn away as a tear rolls down my cheek.

"stephanie. i'm so sorry. let me explain" he tries to put his hand on my shoulder. i shake it off.

"there's nothing to explain. i wasn't good enough for you. i don't know why i thought i stood a chance. " i look down as more tears fall.

"steph it's not that. it's just that was my ex, Lilly. we broke up a while ago." he tries to move close to me.

"wow. sure looked like you broke up" i say stepping away from him.

he grabs me by the shoulders and turns me towards him so i'm staring into his eyes.

"stephanie. you are gorgeous inside and out. you're are the one i want to be with. please steph. i really like you. you make me so happy" he gets interrupted by a grey SUV pulling into the parking lot.

"whatever. bye ethan." i walk away and get into the car as more tears roll down my face.
