"Hey, hey! Throw it at Tommy!"
"No, throw it at Mia!"
"What the hell?! Throw it at Milly, God!"
This is Tanbank High for you. Today is the weekly food fight day - Wednesday. Tanbank High is a pretty popular high school for aspiring space pilots and scientists, but that doesn't change the fact they're all teenagers. Only five people in the entire lunch hall weren't taking part in this forsaken food fight where hamburgers and sandwiches flew across the room.
Said five people were sat round a table in the corner, observing in amusement.

"Faith, why aren't you looking?" A girl in a pale green jacket asked, pouting. Her long brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail and her eyes are blue-grey. She's shorter than the others, and rightfully so as she is significantly younger than them all. A similar-looking girl looked up from the book she was reading. Her eyes were a cobalt blue, much darker than the shorter girl's, but her hair was the same shade of brown and facial features identical. Her hair was layered and not worn up at all, and she wore a bright, crimson red hoodie. "Sorry, the food fights don't really interest me. They happen all the time - I can watch one any day I want." Faith shrugged This time, a blonde girl piped up. She, too, was shorter than Faith and has blue eyes, but didn't look like her. "Yeah, but today's super intense. Didn't you see Tommy get pummelled by Danny?" Faith shook her head and the blonde girl, going by the name of Natalie, sighed. "You're such a larry. Get involved more." she copied the littler girl's, named Summer, pout, and Faith rolled her eyes. "Get a life, how-" A ginger boy butted in, a little too enthusiastically. "Bow dah!" Everyone turned to look at him, including a brown haired girl with a black long-sleeved shirt. He giggled and waved his arms about. "It's the latest meme! Don't you guys have social media?" Faith sighs and stood up. "You're a meme lord, Glenn. We're not. It's too noisy in here - I'm going for a walk."

Oh, I forgot to mention. Tanbank High is located in the middle of a desert prone to sandstorms. The school was well-developed and prepared with defenses against said storms, however the desert was a dangerous place to be in all alone. Watch as Glenn, Natalie, Summer and the other girl, Abi, push back their chairs and hurry after Faith as she left. In unison, they all called; "We're coming with you!" A groan escaped her mouth but she said nothing more as she and her friends walk out into the desert. It was silent except for their excited chatter, but all of a sudden Faith felt something pulling her in a certain direction. Everyone else stopped talking and looked around. It was as if...as if they felt it too. Abi spoke up. "Do you guys...feel that?" Everyone nodded and only Summer turned round and started walking in the direction of what was pulling them. "Hey, wait up!" The girl glanced back over her shoulder, looking slightly puzzled. "Have I done something wrong?" Faith jogged after her, resting a hand on Summer's shoulder. "No, you just shouldn't go exploring by yourself. You know the next sandstorm's due to hit in about an hour and a half, don't you?" Faith's scolding tone made Summer blush.
"Sorry, I wasn't really thinking. Something overcame my mind and I was really drawn to whatever that is." Natalie, Glenn and Abi appeared around them. Natalie was nervously fiddling with the collar of her yellow long-sleeved shirt, covered by a white denim jacket. "Should we go check it out? We don't know how long it'll take to get there, but I know I'm intrigued." she spoke quietly, but her pale blue eyes lit up when she saw Faith nod. "You're right, Nat. Let's go check this out. Then we'll go back to the barracks before the sandstorm arrives. Sound good?" Her cobalt blue gaze swept across her friend's, all of them nodding except for Glenn. He argued. "Hey, hey! Neither of you two are the leaders or anything! Shouldn't we only go if we all agree?" His arms crossed his chest, a fire flaring in his brown eyes. A look of irritation crossed Faith's face and she pulled an annoyed smirk across her mouth. "But we do all agree, Glenn. How about you close your mouth and we'll get on with it?" Before he could say anymore, Faith moved forward, leaving his mouth hanging open.

"This place is amazing." Mountains surrounded them on all sides and the sky was clear. Tumbleweeds skittered across the ground like animals trying to find shelter from the oncoming storm that could kill you in a matter of minutes. When the ground rumbled viciously, everyone came to a standstill.  They all shared worried looks until, finally, Abi spoke. "You all felt that, right?" A chorus of agreeing noises erupted from the other four, and it was then Summer started running. She twisted round a corner after hearing her sister shout. "Summer, come back!" Faith tore after her little sister, friends hot on her heels.
