Finding Her

Unlock Love

I was back at the hotel that I had just

left. I was looking at the snow as I had

done before, taking sight of each detail

of the winter scene- the kids, the

snowflakes, the fans, the snowman,

snow angels, and the flowers. The

flowers that remind me of love.

Suddenly, I reached to a necklace that

I was wearing. Attached to it was a

dangling silver key. I looked to it and

back to the flowers and I thought of

the girl I loved.

"Niall!" My eyes opened to the white

ceiling above me. I stretched out and

sat up quickly to find myself back at the

airport. I must have fallen asleep on

the floor. "Your flight is rescheduled

for tomorrow," I heard a crew member

say. I nodded and tried to comprehend

this, but I was still stuck on the

thoughts of that dream and what it

could mean. It left me curious and I

somehow had remembered each piece

of the dream. Maybe it was just

another dream, but it seemed special.

It seemed to hold something. I didn't

know what. The hotel. The winter

scene. The flowers. The necklace. The

key.

I decided a nice snack could wake me

up. I went to one of the airport stores

and looked at what they had. A pack of

fortune cookies caught my eye and I

bought them, along with a drink. Then

I sat down to eat. I opened the package

of cookies and took one out. Before

taking a bite, I excitedly cracked it open

to find my "fortune" inside. I

unwrapped the small slip of paper to

read the following:

You will soon unlock love.

My mind raced. Did this have to do

with the dream in anyway. The key.

The way the flowers and winter scene

had reminded me of love. And the

unknown girl that I loved and missed.

My heart and mind filled me with

emotions and thoughts .
