Hi!! I'm Carly, and this is my best friend Darcey! Today, we are going to tell you about how we became best friends.
Carly's Pov
I was supposed to stay at my Aunt Karen's house for two more weeks, but I had to go back to the States. Let me fill you in on some things. I came to my Aunt's house two months ago. I needed a summer job, but I didn't want just ANY summer job. I got accepted to work as a summer school teacher. Yeah yeah, I know it doesn't seem like much, but it helped me a lot.
The reason I liked it so much, is because it was with underprivileged kids who couldn't afford an education. This meant a lot to them. I was once like them. It is my number one priority to try to help as many people as I can get an education because I was once like them. I was just this little girl from Seoul, S.K. who couldn't get an education...
I was brought out of my thoughts by my Aunt screaming at me to get ready to leave. "I'm coming!!" I grab my suitcases and head downstairs. Man, I'm gonna miss this place. I smile to myself and walk to the front door where my aunt was waiting for me. "Ok, one last time. When you get back home, text or call me to let me know you made it. For goodness sake, I am worried sick about you going home on a plane all on your own."
I chuckle. "Aunt Karen, I'll be fine I promise. I'll message you when I get to the airport, when I take off, when I land, and when I get home if that makes you feel better alright?" She nods frantically. I roll my eyes in a joking way. "Ok, will do. I love you. I will see you over Thanksgiving break!!" She nods and waves goodbye as I leave. I sigh a happy sigh and get in the cab.
"Where to miss?" I get buckled up. "Heathrow London Airport please!" I smile at the cab driver and he smiles back. "Ok." I kick back in the seat and put my headphones in. I watch out the window, seeing trees and houses go by. I am so excited to see Hayes. If you're wondering who Hayes is, he's the one and only Hayes Grier! Yes, I am friends with Hayes. Yada Yada Yada. Anyway, once we get to the airport, I pay my travel fee to the cab driver. "Have a nice day!!" He smiles at me. "You too, enjoy your flight." I wave to him as he takes off. I wasn't looking as to where I was going and I ran into someone. I look at the person. "Oh, i"m so sorry! I didn't realize you were there!" I see a girl with really pretty emerald green eyes and brown hair.
"No, it's alright, I wasn't paying any attention as to where I was going." I smile at her. "I'm Carly, where are you headed to?" She adjusts her bag strap on her shoulder. "Oh, I'm going to North Carolina. I'm moving there." Her smile brightens. "I'm from Seoul, South Korea, but I live in North Carolina! Maybe our seats are close?" I pull out my ticket, and she pulls hers out as well "Our seats are right next to each other!" I laugh and smile.
"Will you tell me everything I need to know about North Carolina?" I nod happily. "Sure, I uh, never caught your name." The girl grabs her suite case and starts walking. I follow her. "I'm Darcey, nice to meet you." I smile a toothy grin. "Darcey is such a pretty name." I watch her grin. "Thanks love, Carly is a weird name, I don't like it." I was taken back by this. "What?" She busts out laughing. "I'm totally kidding. I love it." I laugh a nervous laugh and smile. "I have a feeling we're gonna be great friends."
I look down at my phone and see that I have a text from Hayes. Darcey must have seen it too. "Is that Hayes Grier?" I see the ping of excitement in her eyes. "No, uhh it's Hayes Sherr. He's a professional scooter rider." I see the excitement leave her eyes. "Oh.." I feel bad for breaking her heart. I won't tell her Hayes is my best friend until we get closer. I don't want to hurt Hayes.
Our flight is finally called. "That's our flight Darcey!!" I look over at Darcey and she is smiling. "Let's go!!" I get my stuff and board the plane. I have a feeling this is gonna be an awesome flight.
Darcey's POV
I was at home getting ready to leave for the airport. My mum was standing by the door. Ben, Jamie, and Adam were standing by the door as well.
I look at my mum and smile. "I promise I'll be alright mum. I'll text you when the flight lands." She nods. "Oh Darcey you're so grown up!!" Jamie laughs. "Grown up? She can't even spell grown up!"
Jamie teases me and punch him in the arm playfully. "I hate you some time!" I laugh and hug him. "I love you bro. I'll write in my journal every day and let you read it when I come back for Christmas." He nods and smiles.
Ben looks down at me. He has a tear running down his cheek. I wipe it away with my sleeve.
"Oh Benny!! Don't cry!!" I hug him hard. "I-I just don't want you to leave!" I chuckle as his voice cracks slightly.
"I know, no one does." I look up at him. "Text me everyday alright!" My Mom shouts at me. "Darcey, you're gonna be late if you don't go!!" I laugh and run out the door to the cab.
"Where to miss??" "HeartThrow London Airport please!!" The cab driver smiles as she takes off. "Alrighty!" I smile and kick back.
Once the cab gets to the airport, I get out and pay my fee. I was standing, minding my own business, when some girl runs into me.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were they!!" I look at her. She ha alrighty really pretty grey eyes and medium blonde hair. "No, it's alright. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." I shoot her a smile. "I'm uh, Carly, where you headed to?" I look at her, contemplating on wether or not I should tell her, as she slings her bag over her shoulder.
"I'm going to North Carolina. I'm loving there." I can feel my smile brighten. "I'm from Seoul, South Korea, but I live in North Carolina! Maybe our seats are close??"
She pulls her ticket out and so do I. "Our seats are right next to each other!!" I squeal. "I have a feeling we're gonna be great friends."
A/N
I'm not gonna rewrite the whole thing that happened in Carly's POV. Because
1) I'm too lazy to.
2) you know what goes on, so uhh yeah.. there's no need to rewrite it.
3) I'm getting tired as I write this Authors note so I probably wouldn't have posted this chapter, because I wouldn't have fallen asleep. (If you want, let me know and I'll write the whole thing.)
