A New Start

I was watching out the window as my agent packed the car. When he got in I just glared at the house we were driving away from. I was moving away for the thousandth time.

You see I'm an orphan and I've been one since I was born. I've been an one for I guess it would be 16 years now. I guess my dad died and my mom went to jail or something I don't really know and I honestly don't care. My name is Scarlet, I don't know my last name. I mean well I guess no one really does. Not even my agent, Mil.

Mil was the kind of guy that doesn't like to get put in bad situations or repeating situations. He wasn't the typical old grandpa that says "get off my lawn!" Repeatedly. He's actually quite young. He's I believe 28. He wasn't bad looking either and no I'm not hitting on him. Mil had dark brown hair that he slicked back every day or at least from what I've seen of him do. Today he's wearing a suit as usual. I've never seen him with out a suit maybe it's for his job? Anyway I'm moving again because. "Why did you have to make these people's lives a living craphole?" Mil interrupted my train of thought.

I shot him a glare "I didn't until they got mad at me first." He raised one eyebrow "mhm and what did they get mad at you for?" I thought for a moment. "I don't know! They just got angry!" I raised my voice. Mil just sighed. "You know your running out of options?" I just sighed back. "I know" I was a bit annoyed by now.

   We kept silent for a bit until a ring went off. Mil grabbed his phone and parked the car in a gas station parking lot. He got out so I couldn't hear. Most of his calls I'm not suppose to hear. I saw him pacing back in forth obviously thinking real hard. Then he looked like he was raising his voice and then all the sudden he put on a smile. Mil changes moods really quickly. His smile was like an "I got an idea" smile.

   He started walking back to the car and I cocked an eyebrow at him as he got in. He looked at me with his smile. "I think I've found a perfect match for you!" I just groaned and glared at him "already?" "Yep!" He chirped "a couple of old friends"

   "So where are we heading?" I asked wanting to know so I could start looking for jobs. "Alabama! It's a great place don't worry. Other than all the rain." I got a little excited because I loved looking at everything when it's covered with a blanket of rain, when the world wasn't the same.
