I roll my pale blue eyes as I walk into the cold classroom. My older sister, Garnet, was sitting on her desk talking enthusiastically to a group of boys. I say down at my desk neat the back of the room and put in one of my earbuds. I press play with my phone still in my pocket. The teachers were never observant enough to notice how I always adjust my hair to cover the headphone cord. Either that or they just don't care. I open up my book and start to read the first few lines when someone when someone closed it and pushed it off the desk. I look up at them glaring. "What do you want?" I question them. It was Tracey. In her freshman year of high school she was very awkward and shy. She only talked to Adrian and my younger sister, Vyladnessa after she transferred to Phoenix Drop High. I knew recently she had become more outgoing and flirty. I really hated her. I hated the way she always smiled like there's no place she'd rather be than school. She seemed to flirt with literally anyone. Even more than her attitude I hated the way she would click her pen and tap on her desk and hum pop songs when she was working, even if the classroom was completely silent. I hated the way she twirled her hair when she was bored of sitting through long classes and her obsession with cherry candy, cherry perfume, cherry lip gloss, and anything else cherry. These were just things I happened to notice about her because they annoy me. It's not like I TRY to notice these things about her. I just do. "Zanna!" Whined Tracey. "Are you listening to me?" She climbed onto my desk and pouted. "Oh my Irene what do you want?" I snap at her trying to sound annoyed. "So... my parents are going out of town this weekend" She said slowly, putting her hand on top of mine. "And I was thinking about having a party" she continued leaning in a little too close. "Will you come?" She asked. I tried to pull back and say no but I couldn't. She was now sitting on the very edge of my desk. Her nose was pressed against mine and if my mask was off she could have easily kissed me. Not that she ever would. Her leg gently brushed against mine. Strands of her snow white hair fell into her eye and I was struggling not to reach over and push them away so I could get a better look at her emerald green eyes. She pulled away, smirking. It was obvious she was just teasing me. I could still smell her cherry perfume. I think the reson I hated Tracey Valkrum most, is the fact that I was slowly falling for her. While waiting for my response to the question I had almost forgotten she tapped on my desk, silently staring at me, begging me to say yes. I don't understand how someone like her can look so innocent and cute. "I... guess" I mumbled. She grinned and suddenly pulled down my mask, kissed my cheek, and hurried to her desk as the bell rang. "See you at the party Zanna!" She called leaving me at my desk blushing and stuttering.
Hey! Sorry I haven't been keeping up with my main Zanvis book, but I've never been good at sticking to deadlines. I'll try to update whenever I can though. For now I'm starting up this book. I actually wrote this one in my ELA and band classes, so people probably thought I was weird since I covered my notebook whenever someone walked by. Oh well.
