My life has always revolved around big tall buildings and bright beautiful lights. It has also been revolved around hatred and sadness. My life can be like the big tall buildings and bright beautiful lights of the city, but it can also be like the dark alleys between those wonderful buildings and lights.
Three years ago it was my first time really understanding life and what it is composed of. You would think because you have a six year older sister you would learn about life quicker but your wrong. I always feel like my parents hate me cause I'm not a perfect student like me perfect sister. The girl got a freaken scholarship to one of the best colleges in New York and I'm just here trying to get past eighth grade with at least a 75 and above. Even when I'm this 👌🏻 close to finally accomplishing something it all falls apart.
Now and days the only thing my parents talk about is how there is not enough money to pay all of our bills. Yeah I might go to a private school and dress better than everyone in my class but that does not mean I'm not poor. We had to cancel our land line and our VCR just so we can have extra money in order to pay the bills. All of my friend's parents have great business or jobs and there like freaken millionaires.
On my tenth birthday I felt like I walked through these doors that lead me to the real world. I realized that everything wasn't so wonderful as imagined. I finally comprehend what the news was saying and that my parents didn't really love me. I felt like just another human here in this world just taking up space.
From that point on I questioned everything and everyone. But the most important question was who am I?
