Unexpected

Upon entering the room, they immediately check everything.. Dj tried to stay calm pero evident sa kanya ang gulat sa lahat ng nangyayari.. Hindi niya binitiwan ang kamay ko hanggang doon sa bed para i-check ako.

Dra. Reyes: Hi Kathryn, it's confirmed you're 8 weeks pregnant..Congratulations to you and Daniel.
Kath: Thank you Dra.. kung alam niyo lang this is unexpected..
Dra. Reyes: Naku, mukhang excited na ang Daddy Daniel mag-alaga kaya bumuo na.. tama you should make more babies..
Daniel: Naku, Dra.. gusto ko na magka-baby talaga..lalo na kung siya ang Mommy ( sabay hampas ni kath kay dj)

After that, nagbigay na ng gamot si Dra. Reyes and we immediately left. It's a good thing alanganin na oras yun kaya di ganun kadami ang tao.

We were in the van with Kuya Mar and my PA.. Dj was still shocked on everything that happened.. I broke the silence..My PA is talking with someone sa phone while Kuya Mar is busy driving

Kath: Love, aren't you happy? Kanina pa yang silence na yan?
Dj: Love, hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala magiging Daddy na ko.. ang galing ko talaga!
Kath: Aba aba! Ikaw lang? Me din kaya!
Dj: Can I confess something?
Kath: Ano yun?
Dj: Did you know na sinadya ko to. I make sure sa app na fertile ka so we can do it right away.
Kath: Seriously? Eh hindi kaya fertile yung pinakita mo before we did it.
Dj: No love, I showed you the previous months! Para mapapayag kita! I badly want to hear cries of our baby soon!!
Kath: Ay grabe! How come I did not notice that.. but still at least may surprise ka pa rin sakin.
Dj: Ahhh.. akala mo eto lang surprise ko?

Dj's POV

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa lahat ng nangyayari. Alam ng lahat na gusto kong gawin ng maaga ang pag-pamilya and yes, I did it.

Pagdating kay Kathryn, lahat nasa perfect timing walang labis walang kulang and that is why I made sure na this time bull's eye ika nga..

After Kath's revelation, I immediately text Mama Min and Mama Karla to inform our closest family and friends for a dinner.

We had dinner at home. Kath was shocked na full force ang family namin at mga kaibigan.

It was not an extravagant dinner.. pero ang importante na maging bahagi sila sa yugtong ito.

Takang-taka ang lahat kung anong meron.. walang ibang nakakaalam kundi kami lang ni Kath.

We had dinner..and we finally opened it up..

Dj: Mama, Papa.. sa family namin at mga orbs and lolas.. we want to show you something...

Wala pa man, nakikita na namin ang naluluhang Mama Min at Mama Karla..

Kath: Guys, meet the newest member of Bernardo-Ford! ( We showed the ultrasound picture)

Nagulat ang lahat at napayakap sa amin ang mga kaibigan at pamilya..

Mama Karla approached Kath..

Mama Karla: Anak, maraming salamat dito (hold Kath's tummy) Eto ang best na regalo mo sa akin sa buong buhay ko.
Dj: Ma, drama na naman to! Naman, sabi naman sayo dadamihan ko ang lahi diba?
Kath: Grabe bal. Isa-isa lang no..
Dj: Hindi, dalawa yan I assure you!
Mama Karla: Naku, ang Dindin ko Daddy Dindin na!
Dj: Ma naman!!

Mama Min hugged us and even Papa Teddy.

Papa Teddy: Dj, Kath.. alagaan ang apo namin ha.. wag masyadong mapagod at ma-stress.
Kath: Opo Pa, hinay hinay muna ko sa business..
Mama Min: Oo nga anak, kami na muna ang bahala.. at Dj wag makulit ha!
Dj: Opo Ma, Papa aalagaan ko tong prinsesa niya..
Mama Min: Bilis ng panahon no, dati si Lhexine lang.. ngayon may bago na kong hahabulin..

Everybody was so happy to hear the news. We decided to keep this private first and confirm it to the public once we reached the 2nd trimester. We hid it from the public and be in hiatus for a while.

After months of unconfirmed news.. we finally broke our silence with a picture at my Instagram. A picture taken during that dinner ( see picture above)

Caption: The most unexpected blessing this year, an addition to Bernardo-Ford Family. We love you, Anak.

At nung gabing iyon.. ang lahat ng speculation ay nasagt Ang salitang, "Anak" na gumimbal sa buong twitter and instagram world.. or should I say ang nagpawindang sa KathNiel family.
Our unexpected gift for the people who love us genuinely.
