Dean was acting strange. He had been for months. They still hadn't found a way to get rid of that damned mark of Cain, although it strangely didn't seem to affect him anymore. Dean, Sam, and Cas had just gotten back from a hunt. Just a small vamp nest, when Dean noticed something. Every time he looked at Castiel, his eyes stayed on him longer than necessary. He dismissed it as being the fact that Cas was an ex-angel and he was.....well...he would tell him that when the time came.
Cas decided to confront Dean about how...off he had been lately. He went to Dean's room late one night and knocked on the door softly. He heard a sleepy "wha..?" That he took as a welcome to come in. He came in quietly and softly shut the door behind him. "Dean?" He asked hesitantely "I need to talk to you"
Dean knew this was coming. He sat up slowly, not caring he was shirtless. "Yeah Cas?"
"Dean, I've noticed something about you lately"
Dean sighed "buddy do we really have to do this now? It's 1 in the freaking morning!"
Cas defiantly sat on the edge of dean's bed. "Yes Dean, I cannot wait any longer. It bothers me how normal you are acting. Sam is thrilled, for it seems like the mark has no effect on you anymore, though I know something else is going on. You can't just ignore something as pure evil as that." He looked Dean in the eye. "Please, Dean, tell me what's going on"
Dean sighed "alright, the mark has less of an effect on me now because i'm a little different ever since I started sporting a pair of these" he blinked and his eyes flickered black
Cas immediately jumped off the bed and backed up, getting closer to the door "n...no..Dean..?" He was shaking his head
Dean smirked "not the goody-two-shoes hunter you know and love angel, I'm the new and improved badass Winchester"
