Hi, my name is Harriet Robertson and I have, well I should say had a best friend called Daisy Locks. She had white blond hair, hazel eyes and was a very petite looking girl. Me on the other hand had golden brown hair, blue eyes and not very petite looking but not overweight either. You see I always found something about Daisy not quite right and it was only the other day I believe I found out why. It started when Daisy and I were just about to go in the classroom. Oh, I should probably tell you what the classroom is like. Well where do I start. It is a mess; I mean we do have boys in our class so that is probably why. Gum is under the chairs, tables, packets of food are all over the floor, and squashed bananas were spread all over the floor as if we were a bunch of monkeys. Anyway, back to the real story. It was weird because Daisy and I always sit in the front next to each other but today for some reason she decided to sit at the back, so I went and joined her.
Then Mrs. Bither entered the classroom. She was wearing a long brown skirt with a pink shirt underneath a blue sweater. Yuck! This is the part where it got extremely weird. Every morning Mrs. Bither makes us listen to her read the news. That morning the news said there was a family on the run and they have been hiding their real identity for a long time. They did not say why they were on the run, which was weird. Once we all heard this, I looked at Daisy and she looked like she had seen a ghost and she looked like one as well which was weird.
After Homeroom, I had English and Daisy Had Geography. English was so boring. I mean how boring can life get. Daisy could not stop messaging me saying how boring Geography was as well and how she hated Mrs. Bither. I was very excited for the next lesson as Daisy and I both had double drama. Once we got into the Drama theatre Daisy was nowhere to be seen. I asked Mrs. Bither where daisy was and she said that she went home sick. Daisy did not tell me that.
1 week had passed and it got me thinking that Daisy must have been extremely sick because she did not come to school but the weird thing was she never answered any of my calls or texts. I was so lonely I did not have anyone to sit with. For every single class I sat in the back of the classroom, every single recess and lunch I sat by myself. I kept texting and ringing her but she never replied. At this point, I got so mad at her I could not be bothered worrying about her anymore. I miss the ways things used to be so much.
Five minutes after I arrived home from school I got a message and I jumped because it was from Daisy saying ''Hey Harriet, I am very sorry for leaving without an explanation. I had to leave because of something I cannot tell you. Unfortunately, I cannot keep in contact with you anymore. If anyone happens to ask, if you know me, for your own good say no. Do not tell anyone about me! I will miss you bestie. Goodbye xxx.
It then clicked that maybe her family was on the run. I mean, I have never met her family because she says I just cannot. I wanted to tell my mum all about it but I knew that she has a big mouth so it was not a good idea. I was just about to start my homework for math but then there was a knock at the door. I opened it of course. However, when I did I jumped with fright because standing right there in front of my eyes was
