So This Day - Chapter 1

"CLARK, GET THE HELL OUT OF BED! YOU'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL." my mother yelled from the 1st floor.

Fucking hell... That woman can scream. I guess I might as well get out of bed and get in the shower. As I'm doing so, I just SO HAPPEN to trip on my little brothers stupid toy truck and slam my face into the wall in the process.

"AH FUCK!" I say in an inside voice, couldn't very well scream. That is unless, I felt like getting scolded by Mother Hypocrisy herself, then I would've just let it rip. After rubbing the possibly now growing bump on my head, like the ones in the old Tom and Jerry cartoons, I decided a shower was needed more than ever.

For a kid like myself, bleached hair, clothing only really consisting of black jeans and MCR T-shirts, I lived a somewhat alright life. I mean, sure I have those moments with mother, but she isn't bad. And I'm living pretty well so there's that. It's just harder at.. well, not to sound cliche or anything, but it's hard at school...

I shake the thoughts away as I strip to enter the warm and toasty shower, I let a sigh of relaxation out as I scrub my hair and scrawny stature with shampoo and body soap.

After about 15 minutes designated to shower and getting ready in my earlier mentioned attire, I make my way down stairs and see my family. Hmm, I guess Dads going somewhere for work. Dad, who's name is Roger, I'm pretty much the exact opposite of him.. He's the owner and trademark CEO to a major gym business so he travels a lot, mom, AKA Shiela, gets to be a stay at home mom because of daddy money. I shouldn't say anything since I really never need a job.

Anyways, dad finished his breakfast in his usual suit and kisses more goodbye and hugs me and my brother Ethan.
"Here's breakfast Clark, Ethan, eat up, can't be late for school!" Mom hands me a plate of eggs and bacon, which I promptly scarf down because who doesn't like eggs and bacon?

Enough exposition! Get to the meat Mary!

Now that my morning is done, the dreaded day of school... I walked in through the doors of McAlister High School with utter dread. This school sucks... mainly because of the people.. It's either, the asshole jocks, bitchy cheerleaders, creepy stoners and other drug-heads, and the annoying nerds. None of which, I would ever want to talk to.

As I'm walking, I stop by my locker and open it up, for the little time I get, I use the mirror I have inside my locker and stare and the literal definition of perfection directly across from my locker.. Devan Montgomery.. Ripped as hell, the perfect hair and face made by the GODS! I sigh quietly as I look back up to grab my AP History textbook, then I close my locker to only get showed heavily against it by who I assume to be Brett Markensen, who laughed and walked away with his friends.

I just sigh and slide down onto the floor, I had time to kill, might as well spend it sulking on who I am and why I'm always hurt here.. Except, I felt a pair of eyes on me before..

"Hey.. are you ok man?" Th-that voice.. I looked up to see who it was and by god, it's Devan.. Oh God, I start to feel my cheeks radiate in a bright read..

"I um.. y-yeah.. I'm fine.." I say clambering to get up, his eyes still staying on me.

"Thanks, b-but I have to go to class.." I say I'm hopeful desperation to quickly runaway before it becomes INCREASING and PAINFULLY obvious how much I, Mark Sanchez, was in love with Devan Montgomery.
I quickly brushed past all the people and made it to my first period class in search of air as I was hustling, I grab a spot over at the corner next to my friend Lola Martin, who's a bit country, bit wacky, but all amazing.

"So, has bubblegum pris bitch entered yet?" She said referencing to Shelby Franks, who made major changes, especially with her hair.

"Not a calorie in sight.." I say, we stare at each other and then bust out laughing. Then the laughter coming from me stopped as soon as I realized, Devan.. Devan had this class also.... FUCK!
