--your pov--
Today was the day you were leaving America; for good this time. Yeah you would come back to visit your family but you were moving to Korea to fulfill your wishes of being somewhere other than boring ol' America. Although, you were quite scared as you were just a year out of high school, only 19 years old. Your mother was quite sad to see you go and you (being quite a momma's girl) were sad to see her crying as you walked toward the airport terminal to board the first of two planes you would have to take in order to reach your destination.
You had first class tickets for both planes because there was no way you were going to get in a bad mood before arriving to the country you'd always dreamed of living in. As you boarded and made your way to the front of the plane and to your seat you noticed a girl drawing in her journal; she looked as though she were about 19. She was tall in height and and had medium length, blond hair with straight bangs that came right over her eyebrows. You were going to be riding next to her during this flight and hoped to be able to talk to her about her drawings. For some reason, you felt as though you recognized her. Many more people boarded the plane and you checked your phone to see how long there was until take-off. "Just 5 more minutes," you thought to yourself. You looked over at the girl's drawing and were surprised at the incredible amount of progress she had made in the past 10 minutes. She was in the middle of drawing a familiar group of people but you couldn't place a finger on who they were. You decided to let the thought linger in your head for a minute but then gave up trying to remember.
As the plane started rising you decided to ask the girl her name and where she was going. She responded by saying, "My name is Lalisa Monoban but you can just call me Lisa. My destination is Korea," she bowed her head as a polite gesture and continued, "what about you?" You immediately realized why you recognized her and your eyes widened slightly. She didn't seem to notice.
"Oh my goodness," you thought, "I'm sitting next to one of my idols and having a conversation with her, this cannot be real." "My name is y/n," you responded politely, "my destination is also Korea," you flashed a soft smile at her. She smiled slightly and nodded, turning back to her drawing. You sat there for a minute contemplating whether or not you should ask why she was in America. You decided that it was a worthy question. "Excuse me, one question," you said politely.
"Yes," Lisa answered, turning to you with a smile.
"Why were you in America? Shouldn't you have been in Korea with the rest of your group," you questioned? Her face lightened at the question and you noticed her giggle a little. You sat there wondering if she knew you were a fan from that question.
"Ah, I see, you're a fan of Blackpink," she said answering your thought, "you see, we were on a break and I decided to come down and do a bit of traveling to sightsee and expose myself to more culture." You nodded, you understood her curiosity of different cultures. Then you started to wonder, how was her English fluent and her pronunciation so good? You pondered again whether or not that was a worthy question. You had a feeling you would ponder a lot of your questions. You decided to ask her about her drawing.
"Ah, i'm trying to draw a picture of the group, Topp Dogg. Have you heard of them," she asked?
"They're my favourite group, of course i've heard of them.-" Your thoughts were cut off by a hand waving in front of your eyes. You apologized quickly and bowed your head, the Idol sat there still waiting for an answer. "Ah yes, sorry. Topp Dogg, I've heard of them, they are my favourite group," you nodded slightly realizing you had said that so fast.
She giggled at your quick response and shook your shoulder slightly as to signal that it was okay to be nervous; although there was no reason to be. "I see," she said, a smile forming on her face, "I bet I could help you get to meet them once we arrive in Korea. Though we are under different companies, I am quite close to their maknae, Yano. We are childhood friends." You smiled, happy that one of your idols was going to help you meet 9 more of your idols. She turned back to her drawing once more and the conversation was left on hold, not over, just paused temporarily.

Hiya! It's me, the author. I really hope you liked this chapter, it was really interesting to write. If you don't know the group Blackpink, I recommend checking them out. (Their Weekly Idol episode is really good) Aha, I decided to write this book because it's a Sunday afternoon and I'm full of creativity. There will be one more chapter like this until you actually arrive in Korea. You may leave suggestions as you please about other groups you would like to make an appearance in this book and i'll check them out and figure out how to incorporate them. I'm new to the whole Kpop thing as I only started listening to Kpop last month, haha, so I don't know many groups. Please leave your opinions on this chapter in the comments and comment "Sangdo & Hojoon are soulmates" if you've read this note ;)
