A female NightWing flew with her egg. It was the brightest night and it was when her egg would hatch. She knew not of the prophecy. Nor had many. She knew only of what the dragonet was, and that was a hybrid.
This Dragon was not a full purebred, she was a hybrid, one that was very unusual. She was a SkyWing and a NightWing. The female NightWing was being chased for her egg, if her chaser's caught up to her, her egg would be destroyed, she didn't want to risk it. She might be killed for treason. Nothing was going to stop her from protecting her beloved daughter.
However the female NightWing had no idea that they had weapons and one was flying right for her. She couldn't dodge fast enough when she realized it was coming, it went right to her wing membrane. She let out a cry of pain. It had tore her through her wing membrane, she had no way of flying. The NightWing was going down through the trees.
Once hitting the ground, a chilling crack was heard. The NightWing hadn't moved much. It lay lifelessly, there had been little signs of life from the female, however there was movement in the trees. Something yellow had emerged from the trees, the yellow dragon looked around to see if there were any dragons around. Once confirmed, the SandWing female looked at the other females body. Under the wing had been a weird shape, the yellow dragon picked up the wing and looked at the egg with astonishment.
The egg was silver, it looked like a metal egg.but when the moonlight hit the egg, she could see a silhouette of a dragonet. She looked around and saw nobody but the sad, lifeless, NightWing. It looked to be dead, she then saw the dragon breathing, but how? How was she still alive?
"Please, take care of my dragonet. She is a hybrid of a NightWing and a SkyWing. Her father was killed, he was also an assassin for the Queen. Teach her to fight, I know you aren't apart of the war, I can tell. Just please..... Take care of her." And with those last words, the NightWing took one last breath before collapsing. The SandWing felt sadness for the now deceased NightWing. "I will make sure your request is done, NightWing." The SandWing did a little bow of respect, and flew off with the egg in her talons.
She flew into a cave, two dragonets greeted her. "Fang, your back! With an egg!" The green Male RainWing said with delight. "Wow, so shiny... Where did you find the egg Fang?" Asked a white Female IceWing. "I will tell you tomorrow, this dragonet will hatch soon. Put the egg in the moonlight with fire around to keep it warm." Fang instructed. The dragonets nodded and did what their guardian asked.
"Leaf get the Fox fur!" The IceWing said to the RainWing. "I'm on it Snow!" Leaf said as he went to the hallway and quickly came back with some Fox furs. He then put them around the egg and tried to make it seem like a nest.
Fang was tired, She had never flew for so far for so long. She was near the Sky kingdom when she saw something shiny go through the sky. She had followed it but saw the NightWing was being chased by Burn's forces. There was no other reason for them to be there if they weren't.
Fang was a hunter. She hunted and sold some of the fur she had collected and didn't want to keep. Fang made good profit off of it. She was going to get some bunnies or foxes or a wolf, but she got distracted by the shine of the scales of the NightWing
She was falling asleep, but a crack was heard and seen from the egg. The three dragons were watching and waiting. The egg tipped over, the egg shell cracked open to reveal a NightWing / SkyWing dragonet. She looked a lot like her mother. She had white pupils but the rest of her eyes were black. Her scales were grey and she had 3 black crystal's under her eyes. Her wings were very big with stars under. She sparkled in the moonlight."Wow, a hybrid..." Leaf said in awe. "What do we call her?" Snow asked Fang.
Fang looked over to the young hybrid, "Shadowseeker, that's what we call her." Fang answered.
