What's the point of life and death

Sickness, love, murder, theft

The joy of birth, sorrow of loss

A sacrifice on a cross

Marriage, divorce, the love of others

If death, the cry of their mothers

Abuse, suffering, starvation, prey

From body's growing to hairs of grey

Hope and dreams drifting by

A once perfect life shattered at the blink of an eye

Nursery , jobs, retirement, school

Slavering round like a old, battered mule

Then there are creatures around us each day

Some loving, others have cruel things to say

Yet we continue our miserable life

Which could be ended with the slit of a knife

But have you every asked yourself

What's the Point?
