Authors Note
Okay so for any of you who've read this story before well I would suggest re reading it. I've changed everything but the characters. Over the years I've developed a lot as a writer. Going through the old version I can't even tell you how many times I cringed. I'm still HEAVILY editing this story and probably won't post any chapters until I'm almost done. Updates will be slow as I'm now in college and my life is a mess lol. Plus I have a few other stories I'm writing as well. One is my thoughts combined with some short stories, another is about a girl raised by wolves and then found and forced to get integrated back into society, my newest is called New Blood, it's about a girl who died on New Years and woke up a vampire, I debated on starting it but I did. My baby is called Rouge. It's about an assassin who doesn't quit fit in anywhere, she's very closed off, a loner, doesn't like anyone knowing anything about her. She's my favorite character out of all my books. So hopefully you all check them out. Most importantly though I want you all to enjoy the book you're reading now. Lone wolf. Thanks for sticking with me guys and welcome newbies. Enjoy!

"Emily!"
"Ugh god why?" I groan and stick my head underneath my pillow in hopes of drowning out that woman's voice.
"Emily!" She yells again.
Maybe if I don't answer she'll go away.
"Emily!!!!" She screams from the stairway.
I groan into my pillow and then poke my head out. "What!" I yell back.
"Get up its time for school!"
"Oh for fucks sake."
"What was that?" She says from the doorway.
Whoa... "Nothing." I mumble.
"That's what I thought. Now get up. Don't want to be late for your first day of school do you?"
"That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing Lisa."
"Oh yes it would. I moved you for a reason remember?"
"Yeah because Nancy was a psycho."
She rolls her eyes. "You're going to make me psycho if you don't get up." She says walking out.
I've spent all summer with this women. Lisa. They wanted me to get accustomed to her before the big things started. School, me getting used to her job, her getting used to me, etcetera. Could be worse I guess. Not every foster kids gets this lucky. My last home the women was friggin mental. Talk about a clean freak. If you even put a dish away wrong she'd make you clean every single dish until it was done to her standards. And lemme tell ya, her standards are impossible. The only way to get her to stop was when your hands started bleeding from scrubbing so hard. Then she'd tell you to cover them up so CPS couldn't see. All those horror stories you hear about foster parents, they're true.
After what happened they shipped me and the other kids off to new foster homes. I got lucky with Lisa, scratch that I got a miracle. She's a doctor. She was the women who issued my psych eval when Nancy thought I was crazy and wanted me tested. Can you believe it? The psycho wanted me tested. Lisa isn't as crazy as Nancy but damn the women is snappy. My guess is it's from work. She only sleeps like two hours a night. The rest of her time is spent at the hospital, or, on rare occasions when she's home for a max of twenty minutes.
