Sleeping on the moving stairs is quite dangerous

A/N: This book is a collection of the day to day life of The Marauders: James Potter, Sirius Orion Black, Remus John Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, as well as two of their closest friends, Lizzette Barnes and Kasandra Pearson. We will start off in Lizzette's point of view. I just want you to be aware that this story does not have a happy ending, so read at your own risk and enjoy♥

Potions had just finished and I had convinced the class to stay after to hang out a bit. Severus was pretending to be the professor, don't ask me why. I was sitting next to my best friend, Kasandra Pearson (AKA Kay), who always tries to talk me out of doing things, yet usually ends up doing them with me. James Potter and his friends were sitting at our table and seemed to be going on about how we all should go to Hogsmeade sometime later this week. James is such a git and don't even mention Peter Pettigrew and Sirius Black. I swear they are always begging for attention or are off hexing people. Nevertheless, we have all been exceptionally close since our first year at Hogwarts, but Remus Lupin, my other best friend, was gone for certain "furry" reasons...

I am a Hufflepuff, but Kay, of course, got into the Gryffindor house, so I usually spent the majority of my time in the Gryffindor common room. Kay has a gigantic crush on James, but of course, they are both mad at each other yet again, so I had to do something to get them talking. I honestly just decided that I would spontaneously come up with an idea when I got there, and then it hit me. What if I was to distract James into talking to Kay? So I got up and tugged James' hair. To my surprise, he actually turned around. His hair felt like a dirty sheep's pelt even though it looked like it would be incredibly soft.

"What the bloody hell do you think you're doing Lizzette?!"

I could feel my cheeks turning red. Everyone had stopped what they were doing when they had heard him yell, and it was silent for what seemed like a good while before Severus realized what was going on and let's just say it was very awkward.

"Miss Barnes, do you care to explain what's going on?" he asked, gesturing towards James' hair.

I freaked out and started mumbling, "Well,umm..., you see... I'm just gonna walk on out of here..."

"No, you will be getting detention for interrupting the class," he rambled on as I started to back away slowly towards the door.

"Yeah, that sounds nice and all Professor, but I'm a bit busy with other things so yeah," I said stepping out the door into freedom.

Severus, of course, would not have it my way and chased me down the hall and I outran him. However, once I made it back to the classroom, I noticed James was sitting in my seat.

"What the hell James?! Your hair isn't that nice kid," I yelled trying to get back to my seat but then he just looked at me and smirked, which disgusted me. You see James Potter and I have a sort of natural hate for one another ever since our first year,  I try my best to be nice for Kay.

I guess I had interrupted his and Kay's conversation because she gave me her signature death stare while James said, "Well it was nice enough for you to want to touch it." He pissed me off, but I just rolled my eyes and sat down in James's seat, not wanting to ruin the moment for Kay.

Of course, James's seat was between Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, but why not have fun with it? Sirius was obviously working on something, so just to mess with him I asked annoyingly if I could touch his hair as well. Only because he does the same thing to me when I study.

"No Lizzette, I'm busy. Talk to me later." He was always like this when he was doing something important, so I let him be.

"So Petey, how was that girl you were talking to the other day?" I asked.
