Evangeline's POV

Beep Beep Beep
I hate that noise. The noise that reminds me that I have to get up to go to that dreadful place mortals call school. I don't even know why I have to go just like I don't know why I have to go to church every Sunday with my God praising crazy Christian unexcepting foster parents.
I walk over to my wardrobe and open the doors. I pull out my Evanescence tee, my black skinny jeans, and my black over sized hoodie with my black and white converse. Then I grab my brush and brush out the knots in my long, black locks. I put on my signature eyeliner and cover up some of the new bruises coming up from last night. My foster parents may be Christian, but boy do they sure have a bite.
I grab my Polaroid sunglasses and my black book bag and creep out of my room. I creep down the stairs making sure not to wake anyone considering it's 6:00 a.m. I grab the handle to the front door and turn it slowly, making sure I make not a single sound. Once I'm safely outside, I release the breath I didn't know I was holding. It wouldn't matter anyway considering I was already dead.
I throw up my hood and make sure my glasses are securely on my face. The sun will be up any minute now and I want to spend the rest of my immoral life not blinded. I made sure I had my doctors note to give to the nurse about my eyes. Without sunglasses, my eyes will burn and itch. One of the perks of being a vampire I suppose.
Classes start at 7 so I have a half hour to kill. I decided to go into the wood and take to long way to prison...I mean school.
I just moved here from my last foster home in Philly PA so I know no one in this entire area. Everyone else has friends and teammates, but I don't which I'm not complaining about. I seem to push everyone away anyways so why bother.
I finally reach the gates of hell and enter the school yard. I can hear the talk of gossip from the girls and the talk of which cheerleader the boys want. I can hear the music from the band geeks and the whisper of the hippes by the willow tree. I sit by myself near one of the oak trees and play a game on my phone.
Finally the bell rings and we all go to our home rooms to get our time tables, our locker number and combination. My time table reads:
Evangeline Goode
Student ID:23478
Locker:547
Locker Combination:4-17-28
Schedule:
Lesson 1: History-Mr. Ryans
Lesson 2: Science-Mrs. Millard
Lesson 3: English-Miss. Johnson
Lesson 4: Gym-Mrs. Lay
Lunch
Lessons 5-8: Early release
Thank the Goddess (yes I'm Wiccan) that I'm a senior and I qualified for early release. I mean it's not like I have anywhere to go, but I can't stand these people. I decided to take science this year because...why the hell not. It's a fun subject.
After I throw my shit in my locker, I head for my first lesson which is history, which by the way, I suck at. I never got the point of learning about ancient civilizations when we could be talking about global warming or something more interesting. I walk into the class and take the seat in the back corner near the door where I plan to be in all my classes.
After we get our syllabus and the teacher trying, but failing, to talk over the loud chatter of ignorance, the bell rings releasing me to my second lesson. I look down at my time table. Science. Thank the Goddess. I run to the upstairs floor and enter the classroom door. No vampires do not fly at lightening speed when they run. Honestly, I blame Hollywood for that. I ran in track last year at my old school and I might run this year. Mrs. Millard seems like a pretty nice woman. She has this voice that makes you feel like you can trust her no matter what. I find that comforting but foreign all at the same time. I'm not used to kindness so when it comes my way, which is very rare, I don't know how to act. I sit in the back again and she goes over the syllabus. The bell rang and I was off to third lesson. Just this then forth lesson and you can leave this hell hole. Surprisingly no one has noticed my sunglasses I've been wearing all day. Even with 75 watt bulbs it still hurts my eyes so I wear my sunglasses everywhere. No ones noticed probably because I sit in the back.
I made my way to my English classroom. As I walked down the hallway, my eyes layed upon the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. She had long, incredibly blonde wavy hair. She was tall, but I was taller by an inch or so. She had pale skin, but not as deathly pale as mine, more milkier. She wore a long sleeved, white button down with a black pencil skirt that went just above her knees and shiny, black heels. I walked toward the classroom with shaky legs. What's this woman doing to me? As I walked by she greeted me. "Good morning," this beautiful specimen said in a light, soft voice. Her words rolling off her tongue like honey. I looked up into her light green eyes and replied "Good morning Miss. Johnson." She looked confused by my sunglasses, but I continued on into the classroom. I like this class already.
