"Wake up, Danny," I heard through my disturbed sleep, "time for work." I reluctantly got up and started my morning ritual. Get dressed, throw a comb through my hair, and leave. I grunted as my housemate decided to try and scare me. God, sometimes I hate other people.
"Cain, don't you have to go to work? Do something productive with your waste of space you call a body?" I yell as anger coursed through my veins. Cain shrugged and looked away. He looked as if he wanted to retaliate but knew that would just make me even angrier, if possible. I quickly grabbed my keys and headed to work.
"C'mon, Daryl, there has to be something you can do for me!" I yelled as my boss told me I was being cut loose. As if life could get ANY worse.
"I'm sorry Mr. Dension. I've tried everything," he replied. That lying piece of shit tried to cover his tracks. He's always wanted to fire me but never had a reason to. He had finally found one. Asshole. I sprinted as fast as possible out of that building before I had another lawsuit to take care of. This time'd be for assault. I wish laws were never assigned to this damned country. That way I could show people what the term "living hell" means.
I got home only to figure out I'd been evicted.
"One hell of a friend, huh?" I mumbled to myself as I went inside anyway. I grabbed the nearest bottle, took the cap off, and turned on the T.V.
"Shit!" I hear as Cain comes through my door like sonic the hedgehog.
"Damnit, Cain, I'm trying to get drunk!"
"Don't damn me, Danny. You're the one who has a water bottle. Either way, we've gotta go!"
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Cops, dumbass!" He yells. Immediately, my face goes a solid white.
"Fuck!" I yell. I grab the nearest sharp object, a small knife, and head to the gun safe. Six-four-seven. I think while I open the safe and grab a SIG Sauer out of the metal lockbox.
"C'mon, Cain," I say, "Let's show the world what happens when Hell breaks loose."
