I looked down at the bloodied gun in my hand, my adrenaline pumping through my veins, and my insanity getting the best of me. "H-Hayley?" I dropped the gun and looked at her body on the floor. My wife was in the house crying her eyes out and holding the other kids close to her. I glided my tongue over my teeth slowly and sat next to her. "I'm quite sorry sweets. I thought you hurt your mother."
It was all in my head. It was an hallucination.
Sirens came quickly and I was surrounded by policemen holding their guns pointed at me, neighbors were out on their porch disgusted at me and shocked I'd ever do such a thing. 28 year old, very successful Georgia had finally cracked. After all of these years of being decent, my time had come. It's time to go home..
