Familiar streaks of tears rolled down my cheeks from my dark brown eyes. I could hear my parents arguing about my recent report card. I had gotten only 9 A's, which is really bad in my household.
I always screw up, it always shocks my family, and always leaves me crying. Most people think being rich was all you needed to be happy. Well my life is a bit of a cliché, huh? I'm not happy at all, in fact, I'm so sad I think I'd die from sadness, or some kind of stress. Nobody understands, nobody will, nobody ever did. I removed strands of my perfect ,waist length, black hair from my face. Standing by the staircase, I listened.
"... It's your fault Angie! You give them a soft shoulder to cry on and now look what's happened. My children and I had a programme going and its all back to square one!" My father blamed my mother for everything. I always say that he might blame her when we get married too. That's just him though, arrogant, narcist, angry...yep, that's my dad.
"Vincent Bridges, don't you dare blame me for this! What about you? Have you ever even talked to her? Ever? You know nothing about them! Stop this nonsense!" My mother spoke louder than usual. She was using a very serious tone. When they fight, all love is forgotten. All because of me.
I retreated to my room, those words were enough for me. I couldn't take anymore.
"You know its gonna get better... Right?" I heard a voice as soon as I crept through the door. In fright, I grabbed the closest thing to me, my bed slippers.
Soon after the light switched on and I noticed my brother, Aiden on my queen size bed.
"What if it doesn't? What if they send me away Aid? I don't blame them for hating me. I'm such a screw up anyway..." I sniffed as I walked towards the other side of the bed. Aiden smiled sadly at me. "They don't hate you B, they just have a rough patch right now, okay.
Well its quite a large patch or they're moving very slow cause its been ten years. Ever since first grade they've been on my back. I can't take it anymore! I got up off my bed and walked to the bathroom. I did the usual; stand in front of the full body mirror and undress slowly, take time to realize what a beautiful body you have. Observe your wide hips, your flat but visible four pack, perfectly perky chest, long flowing black hair, plump lips, long curly eye lashes, everything...
I'm Bella Bridges, I'm rich, gorgeous, popular. But I don't have the life I want. My parents always argue about me. Its like a routine now. I still get the all new fresh feeling when my parents argue though, like its never happened before, but I get so tired of it.
Next day...
' Ahoo! If you've got troubles let 'em go! Let them fly so high, high into the sky just like a red balloon!'
My annoying yet comforting alarm went off. That song inspired me. I yawned and stretched a little to loosen my muscles. Today was Saturday, my favourite day.
I got out of bed and sprang to my bathroom. After showering and brushing my teeth, I got dressed in beige top and matching shoes, with a dark blue shorts with beige spots. I added light makeup and a little body splash before leaving my room.
As I jogged downstairs I noticed how quiet the place was. There was a light sizzling sound coming from the kitchen. Then I heard talking,
"- I mean seriously mom, she got 9 A's and 5 B's! No C! That's good. How do you expect her to be all perfect when she's so stressed hun? You should cut the girl some slack. Beggars can't be choosers." I heard a familiar voice say. It was Aria, my big sister! I thought she was in Costa Rica with her new boyfriend!
