"Sorry I'm late Clara!" Aridessa's dark purple hair danced around her face as she ran towards the silver-blonde haired girl. They were in a calm field littered with flowers, small Pokemon poking their heads out every so often. The sun was beating down on them, only cooling by the soft breeze that drifted around them. "Momma told me to walk the Poocheyena before I left!"
"Its fine Ari, I figured as much." Clara smiled softly at her best friend and put a flower crown on Aridessa's head. "Here, I made these for us!"
"Wow! So pretty!" Aridessa sat down and hugged Clara. "You're amazing as always Clar!"
Clara only smiled and started working on another, snapping out of the work when Aridessa started talking again. "Hey Clar, my mother told me a story the other day."
"A story? What kind?" Clara looked up at her, interest in her clear eyes.
"About fairies!" She grinned over, her smile as bright as the sun that shine down on them.
"Fairies?" Clara stared in awe, swallowing while she was suddenly entranced by the story.
"She said that there is a hidden forest in the Kalos region where Fairy Pokemon can be found!" Aridessa looked up at the crystal blue sky. "I really wanna find it, but I'm only 5 and I can't go on my own..."
"Then let's go together!" Clara exclaimed and held out her pinkie finger. "The day we can go on our journeys, let's go to Kalos and find them. Okay?"
Aridessa's eyes started to shine and she wrapped her pinkie around Clara's. "Its a promise then Clara!" She smiled brightly, Clara doing the same though it was more timid.
"Never forget okay?" Clara took her hand back.
"Of course not! What do you take me for? A Psyduck?" The two girl a started laughing.
A childhood promise is just a silly memory right? So isn't it okay to forget?
