Part One: Corrupted Brotherhood

At the start of October, Jeffery and Keter went to the park with their friend Jade to hangout and have some fun playing catch, hide and seek, and tag. Jade, in this scenario, wanted nothing more but to sit on the bench and watch the two just running around, catching Frisbees, chasing each other, and climbing up trees to hide from the one who was the seeker, since she had a terrible day at work. When Jeffery was it in tag, Keter decided to make it more interesting by running off to the top of a hill that was about thirty meters from Jeffery and then screamed "bet you can't catch me". Jeffery then smiled and then screamed back "oh yeah, I bet I can, you may be able to control time, space and reality, but you can't run from me". So then Jeffery began to run as fast as he could, getting closer and closer to Keter, Then Keter with a confident smile, began to run as well as evading Jeffery as much as possible. Jade, seeing these two, sighed and then murmured to herself "those two are most definitely men" and proceeded to sit on the bench, in a sour mood. Meanwhile, Jeffery and Keter were getting farther and farther away from the park by continuing with their game, farther and farther until they got close to a chemical research and development company known as Chem-Tec. Keter and Jeffery had no idea what awaited them if they went any further, a big toxic waste dumping ground for a chemical that can change your appearance, personality, mood, and your way to think straight. This chemical is known as Chem M-34 or mutagen 34. As Keter started up another hill, he began to see something strange, something not right. He saw some purple colored, metal barrel with a blue cloud leaking out of each of them. He also noticed that these barrels had a biohazard symbol on each of them, making Keter want to stop where stood. Before stopping he noticed that Jeffery was still running toward him without stopping, so Keter stopped running and slipped on the sandy ground, right before the crater. Jeffery had no idea why but thought that getting Keter and pushing him slightly into the crater in the form of a hug as well. As Jeffery lunged toward Keter, Keter rolled out of the way and Jeffery realized why, but before he could grab onto Keter foot at the last second, he tumbled into the crater, smacking his legs, arms, and head into the barrels of hazardous material. Jeffery then landed in a pool of this light blue liquid at the bottom with a barrel tumbling towards him as well. Keter then looked in the crater with shock, that he had done nothing to warn him of the dangers ahead and almost began to cry, but then Jeffery slowly got up on his hands and knees in the chemical pool. Keter then jumped to his feet and yelled " Bro, you're okay, right?". But then he saw that Jeffery wasn't trying to get out of the pool, but instead saw him look at him with a bloodshot eye, something about Jeffery was clearly wrong.

The next Keter saw was that Jeffery began to change, what he didn't know is that Jeffery was exposed to a chemical the changes certain proteins in the DNA to be amplified in some areas and changed in others. Chem M-34 was meant to enhance the genetics so that people in the armed forces could use it for personal strength, instead it failed multiple times and caused many to mutate and even grow a second lifeform on a part of their body. As Keter stared at Jeffery, he saw Jeffery growing slightly bigger fangs, claws and his body even grew bigger slightly. He then noticed the final part of this transformation where Jeffery had also grown spikes made of red bones on his arms and a second tail. Jeffery had become a monster. As Jeffery got up on his feet, he looked at Keter with a glare, as if he was going to kill him. Keter, being too afraid to find what might happen, began to run as fast as he could back towards the park and didn't look back. Jeffery ran up to the top of the hole and began to chase Keter. Keter then heard snarling and growling coming from Jeffery trailing him from behind. So Keter start to sprint and thought to himself of using his time manipulating abilities, but because Keter was too uneasy and frightened, it made it impossible for him to use his abilities and then continued to run. In Monster Jeffery's eyes, he saw Keter as mere prey, something that he wanted to hunt as food, for the mutagen 34 or M-34 made Jeffery's way of thinking become altered and twisted. It was around seven thirty as the sun began to set when they finally made it back to the park. They had been gone for about two hours in total and when Jade saw Keter running towards her, coming up and over the hill sprinting his legs off. She of course sighed and then said to herself again "of course, men being men"; But then saw why he was running and when he finally got to her, panting and out of breath, Keter then said in a frantic manner "Jade, Jade you need to, to...run". Jade then saw that Keter was in shock and noticed Jeffery running towards both of them on all fours, closing in on them and then said "Keter, for fuck sake RUN!". Keter then ran up the street to get back home. Meanwhile, Jade was in the path of Jeffery and had to move to not get bowled over and possibly torn to shreds. So she jumped out of the way and Jeffery ran into a bush instead. Jade hen got back on her feet after evading Jeffery and began to run around the park screaming "oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck!" in a frightened tone. As she was running she didn't see the tree root sticking out of the ground in front of her and then tripped on it by mistake. When she fell, Jade then screamed at Jeffery "Jeffery please, come to your fucking senses or something DAMN IT!". As she said this, Jeffery then paused for a moment and thought to himself about how Jade in the past month has helped with some issues and schoolwork he had. He then thought of the fun times they had in the past month since they met, and then stopped before pouncing on her and sitting down instead. Jade then looked up from her flinching as if Jeffery was going to pouncing on her and saw that he was sitting and panting with his tongue out like a dog. She then got up and went over to Jeffery and saw that Jeffery was ok with her. So she then, regardless of his previous actions, began to pet him on his head and then said "so you finally came to your senses, well until we can figure out a cure to this condition, I guess I got to watch you.  So Jade and Jeffery went to his house to get him all cleaned up. Jeffery's parents were out to eat since they were working hard for the first month and thought they could treat themselves to something as a reward for working. Jade took Jeffery in the back door and got him in the bathtub to get him cleaned up. Since she didn't know what the light blue, glowing liquid was on his fur, so she grabbed the shower head and sprayed the liquid off without touching it. After ten minutes of washing the mutagen off, Jade then dried him off and brought him into the guest bedroom, so that Jeffery wouldn't attack Keter. She then said to him "alright, you wait here, I need to grab something at the store quick" and Monster Jeffery responded with a short bark as if saying "ok". So Jade went to the store to get a collar and a tag with the initials "JW" engraved into it. While she was at the store, Keter waited for both Jade and his parents to get home so he could explain the situation to them. Once Jade got both the tag, she then went looking for a collar that would fit Jeffery's neck. She then saw a big, red collar with a metal belt loop and hook on it. The collar was also made of a strong polyester material that was nearly impossible to break. She thought it would fit perfectly on Jeffery, so she bought it and then moved on to leashes. She found a leash made of thick, steel chains and thought that would work the best and then proceeded to the front register to pay for the things she got for Jeffery. When she got back, she put the tag on the collar and then put the collar on Jeffery. She then said "well, as weird as this sounds, it looks like you'll be a pet to me until this condition is cured". Jeffery knew what she meant by weird and then cringed at her small joke. She then laughed and said "oh come on Jeffery, not like that!" and then proceeded to laugh more. Now that she would be his watcher and he had everything to keep him from accidentally hurting someone, the time grew nearer and nearer to tell Jeffery's parents about what happened.
