Such is Life

How it all started

"Catch me if you can" four year old Jack shouted, while playing with his classmates, running behind a round red table placed in the small classroom labelled as montessori..he was as happy as any four year old could be, without any worries or responsibilities.. It was 9 30 am, the lunch time and jack got his lunch box out...he slightly opened it to look what his mother has made him for lunch today; as soon as he looked inside the blue rectangular box he got a wide smile on his face as two perfectly shaped peanut butter traingles were kept inside which was actually, his favourite.. "Miss Lily would u like to have a bite of my sandwich ? " "well thankyou Jack but I am full I just had my lunch" replied miss Lily...Miss Lily was Jack's favourite teacher and probably Jack was hers too.. where every student learned poems and alphabet sounds while sitting on the small yellow chairs, Jack was the one who never got a chance to sit on them while learning because he was always in miss Lily's lap..

After eating half of the triangle of his sandwich Jack reached for the other half while talking with his bestfriend Alex..but suddenly he stopped.. unable to chew ,unable to talk. "What happened ? What is it ? Do u need some water ? Are u okay ?" Little Alex asked questions one after another not realizing that Jack wasnt even listening to him but just watching at the door of the classroom.. it was Kate.. Jack's other half.. bestie would be a small word to use for her.. she was someone exceptional.. someone whom Jack always wanted to be..with those light brown eyes, extremely silky hair and Jack's favourite, the two palm trees she used to make on her head which Jack always teased her about.. She came late today. Jack ran to reach her leaving his bestfriend and sandwich with each other. "Kate!!!!..how are you ? Where were you ? Do u know today miss Lily will get us to the television class and we ll be watching 'blues clues'." Jack told her in excitement. "Oh wow..be close we ll sit together" Kate replied leaving a wide smile on Jack's face.!! Jack and Kate were both good in studies..they compete with each other for who'ld be the winner in gaining a position in class.. and they both were every teacher's favourite..!

Days passed and converted into years..Jack and Kate were now in kindergarten. They were the bestest of besties but it was always much more than besties for Jack.. he loved her but he didnt knew because he was just a small kid and had no sense of love or things linking to that. It was the last day of kindergarten as this was the final result day of kindergarten. A big stage was there in the courtyard between the two big three floor school building. Seats were placed for parents because the result was going to be announced today.. the teachers were arranging students in lines according to their result.. Kate was first in the line while Jack was 3rd.. and the process of announcing names began..Jack was too happy as he was holding a trophy in his hand..a silver plastic trophy with a star on its peak. But is this the last day Jack would be happy as he didn't see what was coming next..!!
