"You're just a worthless, good for nothing attention whore! Don't bother coming back home if you want to die so much!" A woman spat, slapping her daughter full on the face. Anger pulsed through me and i clenched my fists on the table. "Guy?" Marco asked turning to look at the scene. Julette layed there on the concrete and glared at the young woman whom she held so much likeness to. The woman gave one last vicous kick to Juliette's side before getting in her car and driving away.  She sat there for a moment, almost like she was in a daze and then scraped herself off the ground, brushing  herself off self-conciously.

I walked slowly up to her  and called her name. "Hey Guy, what are you doing here?" she asked, not looking into my eyes. Her left cheek blazed red and her ribs had to be hurting her, but she didn't show it. Nope, not Juliette. "I'm here with some friends, you okay?" she finally looked at me as i motioned to Marco, Emily, Jayden, and Sam behind me. "I'm good, sorry if that bothered you" Of course it did dear Juliette, you were being hurt. I nearly said, wanting to catch her as she started to walk away. "What just happened... i mean do you need a place to stay?" I asked awkwardly, trying to find a way to help. "Nah, i'm all good, that was coming anyways. Get back to your friends, and i'll see you at school monday?" she asked, looking anxious to go. Please stay Juliette, let me take care of you. "Yeah, wait, here" I said, coming up with an idea. Taking her cold hand and a red Sharpie, I quickly scrawled my number on it. "Promise that if you need me, or need to talk, somewhere to go, call me" I said, the words coming out short and jumbled. "i won't promise something i can't keep, but yeah bye" She walked away and disappeared before i could say something to get her to stay with me."Man, you got it bad"

"Shut it Marco!" I hissed, punching his shoulder. "Hey! Hey! i was just sayin' but anyways, lets go and get some coffee, i need a buz before work" I nodded and headed to my car as him, Carley, Rick, and Shane went to theirs.

I heard the metallic ringing of the bell on the starbucks door and my head snapped up, immediantly recognizing Juliette's small form. I heard her chirp her order to the tall man coming in behind her before skipping over and sliding into the seat of the table next to ours. "well we seem to be running into eachother alot today" i finally managed to spit out, making her jump and squeal in suprise. "Yeah, i guess so" she scowled, leaning back to look at us upside down. "That your boyfriend?" Carley asked, leaning around me to look at the guy. "No! he's my,well he's kinda my landlord" she said, biting her lip shyly. "Ooh so it's a normal thing to go out for coffee with your landlord? I mean sure, if your landlord looks like that" I ground my teeth slightly and elbowed Carley as Juliette flinched back ever so slightly. "Okay" she said awkwardly, turning back to her 'landlord'. She leaned up and snatched her coffee from the guys hands, quietly asking if they could leave. "Why? I was kinda hoping to ask why you got kicked out in the first place Juliette" he said, making her plunk back down dejectedly. "Hey, i'm Juliette's frined, Guy" I said after a breif awkward silence. "Mel, Juliette's landlord and brother for all intents and purposes"
