Chapter 1

Summer 1997

Grayson: "so serenity did you have a great night seeing the movie and getting something to eat"
Serenity: "um... yeah it was ok it was a bit boring to be honest you bored me the full night sometimes I even ask why I even married you "

Graysons P.O.V

5 mins later

I was driving home with serenity but she ended up having a go at me because I asked her to put on her seatbelt as I told her that if she didn't have it on and if a car crashed into us she would go right through the wind screen so after 10 minutes arguing with her she finally put it on but she wasn't happy.

We got to the country road and I looked both ways and it looked safe as it was 11:30pm at night so I indicated to go right to head home when suddenly out of nowhere a speeding car came crashing into us making us toss and turn in the air uncontrollably then it finally stopped upside down and I heard footsteps coming towards the car and then it just went pitch black.

A few hours later we got to the hospital and I woke up to find myself lying on a hospital bed but I didn't really care about me and how I felt I wanted to see if my wife serenity and my unborn baby girl were ok but when I tried to move the doctor told me they were both fine no fatal wounds but you had 2 broken bones and a broken wrist also the baby was born prematurely which made me worry even more. I ended up going for a 10 minute nap when I woke up I went to see serenity so I went to her hospital room and sat next to her holding her hand crying saying "please come back I don't know what I would do without you and I'm really scared to go see my baby girl."

20 minutes passes

I finally had the guts to go see my little girl who was born premature at exactly 8am in the morning and when I walked into the baby room and seen my baby girl I got really emotional and told my little girl who was called Cashlin that I will never ever let you down I promise me and your mum will always be there for you no matter what I love you.

When I walked back to serenity's hospital room to find out she wasn't there and I noticed she left a note and that note said

"DEAR GRAYSON,
First of all if your reading this then you probably already know I have left the hospital as I'm fine by the way anyway don't even bother coming to look or find me as I'm far away by now. I have always hated you the only reason I was with you was for the money good luck for your future and bringing up your daughter I don't want anything to do with this I have never wanted kids so yeah bye hope I never see you again in my life.

When I finished reading that everything went through my head also I was really shocked how could she do that what was going through her sick mind. I don't need her I'll be such an amazing dad to Cashlin I'm so lucky to have such an amazing daughter and she is my world I will do everything I can for her.

Summer 2017

Grayson: Cashlin honey are you awake it's your first day at college don't want to be late for your first day.
Cashlin: yeah I'll be down in 5 minutes dad
Grayson: ok
Cashlin: right dad I'm away but I'll see you after college love you
Grayson: love you to honey hope you have a great day.
