We walked into our new home. You could see just how old the house really was even though it had been remodeled. There was a balcony on the second floor looking over the living room and front door.
"Go find your rooms!" Mamaw said to us. There was a few rooms on the first floor which looked more like studys. One of the three would be my grandpas room. He can't walk stairs. He has a defibrillator (the box as my brother and I say) on his heart. Which is connected to a small telephone looking thing that monitors his heart rate. Recently he's been in afib he doesn't take his medicine like he's supposed to. He's also very stubborn.
My little brother, Dad, best friend and boyfriend Daniel, grandma, 6 month old son Caleb and I walk up the staircase. The house looks just like the one from the movie Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark. I'm pretty sure it is. "Is this the house from that scary movie?" My brother Samuel asks. My grandma rolls her eyes as we get to the top. "Yes, Sam, but I promise there are no little evil demons here. We would be able to feel that." My grandma informs him. "Our angels would be fighting them and we'd feel uncomfortable angry even." She continued. Trying to make him feel better. "Malia, you and Daniel in different rooms. Your no married. You know how I feel about that." She started I nodded my head. "I know Mamaw. We will!" Their rooms were on the left side of the house ours on the right. Three on each side with a bathroom on each side except for my Mamaw's room which was the master bedroom which had its own bathroom.
Caleb had his own room as he now sleeps through without a bottle. The movers had placed everything where it was supposed to go. My dad had put all the beds together already. Everything was mostly in place. My dad has always loved to rearrange rooms when he gets board.
I walked into my room with Caleb asleep in my arms. I laid him down on the bed in the middle it only had a sheet and pillows with no covers. I didn't realize Daniel was behind me until he put his hands on my waist spinning me around pulling me in for a kiss. I kissed him back knowing he would take this farther. "Daniel we can't Caleb is right there." He didn't act mad just stepped back. I pulled him back to me kissing him "later!" I whispered. I could feel him smile. "Will you help me put Caleb's bed together so we can put him to bed?" I asked him. He smiled "Anything for you and little man!" I smile at him. I picked up Caleb and walked across the hall to his room. Daniel walked next door to his room to set his bags down. Then came to Caleb's room. "Okay where are the sheets?" Danial asked. I pointed at the bin in front of the dresser. "They are right on top of Caleb's clothes. He walked over to the bin. Getting out the sheets one was waterproof so it doesn't go through to the mattress the other is just a gray sheet with little white elephants all over it. When Daniel finished I laid Caleb down and place the two binkies in his bed that he has to have or won't sleep.
Daniel and I leave the room leaving the lamp on for him if he wakes. Also turn the monitor by his head connected to the bed on so I'd hear him from the one in my room.
We both went into my room. "Pillowcases are where?" Daniel ask his way of eating to help. I pointed to another plastic bin I refused to use boxes because of B.U.G.S. I hate them with a passion. He helped me make my bed. I got into my PJs and laid down. Daniel was already in sweats. He laid down next to me. We bath faced each other looking into each others eyes. He kissed me slowly and passionately. After we stopped I said "We'd better head to bed we have a lot of unpacking to do tomorrow!" He nodded kiss me one last time. "Goodnight Baby I love you!" He said getting up. "I love you too Daniel!"
