I wake up in a pile of sweat, when my mother runs into the room. I noticed the distress on her face.
"What's wrong, Mom?"
"Are you alright..?! I heard you scream.." she answered.
"I'm...alright," I said. "Just a nightmare.."
"Alright...Hurry up and get ready for school."
"Ugh..do I have to?" I barely get adjusted to the light streaming in through my window when my mom yelled: "NOW!"
"Okay, okay I will."
I get out from the bed, and hurry to the bathroom. I look in the mirror, and see something...I dismiss it as nothing important.
I wish I never dismissed that shadow.
