Chapter 2

Angelia POV
        I woke up, realizing what day it was. "Angelia!" My dad called out. I got out of bed and ran towards the door.
"It's today! It's today!" I shouted, roaming down the halls.
My dad was a scientist, who was working on a huge invention, that has been in everyone's fantasies for awhile, and he wanted me to test it out in front of a bunch of news reporters.
"Angelia, Angelia!" My dad called out.
"I'm coming!" I shouted.
I ran out into the yard, facing my dads fifth invention.
The time traveler.
I'd be the first human to test it out!
All reporters gathered around me holding their mics up to me asking about my dads invention.
"Alright Angelia." My dad finally said.
"Time to test it out." He continued.
He set the time to be an hour in the future, since he doesn't want me to "accidentally use" one of today's modern references in front of a historical person.
"Hop in." My dad said.
"Wow." I said.
Then I jumped in.
I looked all around in the same place I had been an hour ago, with all the news reporters crowded around.
But this time, there was no one there, no humans, nothing, just complete, blank silence.
"Hello!" I called out.
"Angelia!" My dad called out, but I couldn't see him.
I ran back through the time machine, knowing my dad was in trouble during that time.
I stared blankly at my home.
It was still there.
"Angelia?" My dad said.
"How was it?" He continued, as the news reporters gathered around me.
"Run." I whispered.
The news reporters stared at me blankly, determining if they should listen to a fourteen year old girl.
Then I said it again with a more serious face.
They all ran towards their news vans and out of me and my dads home.
"What happened?" My dad asked.
"I have to go again to get a better look."
Without hearing his response, I set the timer to the correct time and ran back in.
The background of everything remained its white color, and the silence still continued.
Until an arrow came barreling towards me.
