"I'm home."
Rin's voice rang throughout your apartment, making the corners of your lips go upwards into a smile.
"I'm in the living room," you replied as he walked in, "How was your day?"
He shrugged of his coat, throwing it on the arm of the couch. "It was fine. My students were disrespectful as always."
You let out a small giggle. "That's what you get for being a pushover of a teacher."
His lips jutted out into a pout, his cheeks flaming in embarrassment. "I am not a pushover."
You grabbed his hand, and gently pulled on it as a way to tell him to sit next to you. And he did.
Rin put an arm over your shoulders, bringing you closer to him. "How are you feeling, [First Name]?"
You hummed. "I'm fine. The baby has been active."
He grinned, bringing his other hand to your swollen belly to rub it. "It'll be time for her to come out soon..."
You nodded, turning your head to kiss him. He returned the kiss, moving the hand from your stomach to hold your chin.
"Rin," you whined, breaking the kiss, "don't get me all heated right now"
"You kissed me first!" he defended with a mock offended look on his face.
"I supposed so," you sang, giving him another quick kiss before getting up.
"Where are you going?"
"Ordering takeout~"

You sat next Rin on the couch, a bundle of blankets around you, as well as on your lap. You held your takeout box in your hand, gently setting it down on the blankets. Rin was already scarfing down his food.
"You eat like a pig," you deadpanned, picking up chopsticks.
"I'm just hungry, [First Name]," he protested, his face red again.
You laughed. "You're so cute!"
"I am not cute," he mumbled under his breath.
You repeated your statement again before changing the topic. "What should we watch while we eat, Rin?"
He looked up in the thought. "Yukio's new show is premiering tonight; let's watch that."
You turned the channel to the appropriate channel, right as it was beginning.
"You think the baby will like Yukio more than me?"
You frowned, directing your gaze at him. "Why would you think that?"
He avoided your [Eye Color] eyes, choosing to look at the coffee table instead. "He's an actor, and I'm just some lousy teacher."
"It won't be like that, Rin," you replied softly, "the baby will grow up to love you more than you could imagine."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I am. And who would like an uptight uncle when they have a exciting dad?"
Rin finally looked at you, a grin plastered on his face. "Guess you're right."

You now laid in bed. Your back was facing Rin, and he had his arms wrapped around you, his chin resting on your shoulder. He kissed your neck.
"I love you."
You cracked a small smile. "I love you, too."
"You think the baby will come soon?"
"I'm nearly nine months now, so I'll have to go into labor sooner or later."
"Are you scared."
"..."
Rin pinched your side lightly. "[First Name]."
"...Yeah..."
"Don't worry," he replied, "I'll be with you every step of the way."
"You will?"
"Of course, babe."
