Hey guys. I'm not for sure if I'm going to keep writing this story. follow like or comment if you want me to keep going. If not ill just move on to something else. THANKS

CHAPTER ONE

I wasn't running away for good. Just long enough for my mind to get in the right place. Long enough to get some fresh air and think about things. Usually that meant over night in the baseball dugouts. It was secluded from most of the town, and no one went there outside of baseball season.

I was always the reason my parents were fighting. It usually started with me and my mom. We don't really get along. I'm tempted to hit her back after she slaps me but I don't think it's worth it. Then the rest of the family barges in to the argument.

Times like these I just can't handle the stress. I laced up my converse and grabbed my phone as quick as I could and got out of there.

I put my headphones in my ears to cancel the silence. And now I'm walking towards the dugouts across town in the dark. It's going to be a rough night.

CHAPTER TWO

I checked my phone. Two a.m. and no missed calls. I didn't bother to take out my headphones out last night.

I stood up and grabbed my jacket off the bench. I slept surprisingly well, considering the circumstances. I was getting used to this. It was still dark and the sun hadn't risen up from the ground quite yet. I didn't have anywhere to go. I was NOT going back home. Not yet.

I considered my choices. I could go to Amy's. Nah, were not that close. Who was I close to in my class? Anyone? I have friends, just not GREAT friends. My cousin Nick was the closest to a real friend that i had. But he was a guy, an older guy. By almost three years. Ever since I was a freshman we got closer. I wasn't just a kid to him anymore, because the older you get, the less three years seems to be such a big gap. I was 15 now and he was almost 18. Would being 18 change him again. I didn't want to think about it.

I thought about calling him. But it was two, so I decided against it. Maybe later. I walked across the ball diamond to the empty park. It was so quiet. Not that anyone came during the day. I sat on the merry go round and drifted my feet along the ground as I spun slowly. The rusty metal made an eerie screeching sound.

I hung around the park for another hour. It was getting too boring. And I was getting tired. I leaned against the yellow pole supporting the plastic slide on the play set, and rested my eyes.

"Bzzzzz,Bzzzzz". It was my phone. 5 a.m.?!?! I must have fallen asleep! I answered the phone. "Hello?" I answered groggily.

"Hey, it's Nick".

"Hey, it's 5 a.m."

"Yah, I know. You're parents called. They knew I'd have a better chance talking to you. We're are you?"

"I don't really feel like going home right now. I'll talk to you later Nick."

"I'm not here to lecture you or make you go home. Do you want to come over? You can crash here. You shouldn't be on the streets."

"Nah, I'm good. See ya."

"Alright, fine. call me if you need anything."

"Got it, bye."

CHAPTER THREE

I came home last night after Nick called me. Everyone was sleeping. I only got another three hours of sleep. As soon as I woke up I changed out of my clothes from the day before and into Jeans and a T-shirt. I put on my Black Keys hoody and my converse. I didn't bother taking my hair out of its messy bun, or even showering. I packed my duffle bag of clothes and headed outside.
