Gender Roles

yall I could go on and on about this topic, but a couple of days ago I got heated in class. For my English class we had a mini debate/discussion activity, in which different topics were brought up and we had to decide if we agreed or disagreed with the statement. One of the topics was "Girls should act like Girls" I honestly just knew amongst my class there was going to be at least one ignorant fuck in my class who was gonna agree. If you honestly still believe gender roles should still be a thing then lol hunny get out of mi vida (((-: So theres this one white girl in my class named Lauren idgaf lol if I knew her last name I would post it tbh. Shes your typical basic white girl

Her argument was that girls should be feminine and ladylike and act like women are supposed to. She implied women should be gentle and kind. Basically every steryotype a women could be described as. Honestly if I didn't feel uncomfortable in a class full of mostly strangers I would of had said some stupid shit to her idc if the rule was to respond with "I understand what you're trying to say.." I would of had dragged her ass from hell and straight back. GIRL NO U WRONG WTF how the fuck could she say that when she's a female herself. If she wants to act feminine then good for her, but that doesn't mean women should still be seen as the ones to wear dresses, make the tortillas, and take care of their husband. Women deserve respect and if people still keep having that mindset we're never gonna make progress. Same goes to gender roles for men like wtf man):
