As I look around all I can see is darkness. I call out hoping someone will hear me, but I'm alone. I shiver as a cold breeze comes in contact with my bare skin. Tears silently fall from my eyes landing on the frost bitten grass. The torture I'm being put through is unbearable and purely evil. I'm surprised I don't have hypothermia or frostbite, yet, due to the lack of clothes from my merciless master. Everything started to become blurry as the ice cold rain bit my bare frozen body. Then I heard a snap of a twig and everything turned into silent darkness.
I awake to a pounding headache. Blood is dripping from my head to the forest floor. Wait. It feels like I'm in the tropics. It is warm here. Where am I? My guess is that it is 65 degrees Fahrenheit here, but I can't tell for sure because my senses are all messed up. I'm starting to see bright lights flashing in my eyes and I'm starting to get nauseous. Darkness started to take over me again and I fainted probably from blood loss.
As I regained my consciousness once again I think back to the last thing I can remember. I can only remember waking up the first time in the freezing climate. My head feels like it is going to burst. I know that I am missing many of my memories, but I am unable to revive them. It's like someone does not want me to remember who I am, so I just go over the one and only thing I know about myself. My name is Lila Marie Blackwood and I don't know my age, birthday, or what I look like.
I was drawn out of my thoughts as I heard a soft pounding of feet. I opened my eyes only to be blinded by the sun. I blinked multiple times to get the remaining white dots out of my eyes and looked in the direction where I could hear someone coming. I glanced around for somewhere to hide and found a large bush. I scampered towards it, but I ran into a wall. Oh wait maybe not a wall. I stood up staring. In front of me was a person! I was ecstatic I thought no one would ever find me. The guy stared back at me with wide eyes before quickly spinning around facing away from me. I don't understand why he turned away. Was my face really that ugly that he couldn't look at me? No. That is not it. His eyes went a little ways down before he turned away. I looked down and almost fainted. I forgot I had no clothes on. I ran to hide behind the bush, but was stopped by a voice. The guy I ran into was still turned away, but he spoke to me saying,
"Don't go anywhere. I will be right back." And with that he was gone. I felt like crying. I'm such an idiot. That was so embarrassing. I have no words to describe how embarrassing that was. I sat down and hugged my knees rocking myself for comfort. My head snapped up as I heard a twig break. I was alert and I turned to where the sound came from. A deep growl emitted from the opposite direction and I had a instinct to growl back, but instead I coward back. Someone sprinted up to me in a blur and I screamed, but a hand quickly shot out and covered my mouth. I started hyperventilating and completely stopped breathing when the guy I first ran into in the woods stood in front of me looking me in the eye.
"Breath," he quietly whispered in a deep voice. I drew a sharp breath and I could feel heat rushing to my face. I put my face in my hands covering my eyes, and I felt something fall at my feet and I looked up. The guy was still staring at me. Didn't he know anything about privacy?
"Um," I cleared my throat, but he didn't move. "Can you turn around please?" He looked at me blankly, but eventually came to and turned around with red cheeks. I looked down and saw a baggy sweatshirt and jeans which looked way to big. I threw on the sweater and it went down to my knees.
"Uh," I said quietly, "you wouldn't happen to have a scissors would you?" He turned around and laughed as he saw the sweater. He handed me a very long sharp knife and I got to work. I made the jeans into short shorts and cut the sweater into a crop top. Then I slipped on my new shorts and made a belt with the access sweater material.
"Okay you can turn around now." As he turned scanned my body, which made me uncomfortable, and he stared at my long legs. I cleared my throat and his eyes quickly looked up and looked away as he turned a darker shade of red.
"Um," he ran his hand through his gorgeous chocolate brown hair. "We need to get going."
"Yeah," I agreed rubbing my hands on my shorts, "preferably to a large city." He looked at me like I just told him I murdered someone, which I have not for your information.  He started shaking his head slowly with wide eyes saying,
"No you have to stay away from people."
"Um, are you not considered in the term people?" I asked skeptically.
"No I'm not you should know this." He growled angrily.
"Um, I really don't know anything about myself so I don't know what you think I know." He looked ghostly and turned around facing away from me.
"Let's go." And with that he sprinted into the forest with me on his tail.
