Hey all,
First of all I would like to bemoan the loss of the Heart of Darkness Trilogy, I discontinued it shortly after I began work on Book 1. Originally, the story started at Book 2, but as I was coming up with ideas and forming a storyline, I felt some things needed to be explained prior.
Book 1 was started but didn't go far. There wasn't a real storyline and the basis for the book was a sentence at most: Explain the fall of the Dark Lord and Master while maintaining a reason as to why he was able to return at the end of the Second Book.
Later, after Words of a Song is completed, I might take up my notes for this discontinued series and begin a new fantasy story, focussing on real fantasy with elves, dwarves, Fae and other such creatures.
So what is this? This is my prologue from Book 3 - To Die Again and Again - simply because I liked the atmosphere behind it. Parts were taken out and cleaned up, because there was no need for connectivity.
So here is Heart of Darkness - Fall of a Paladin.
