Broken bones become stronger.

(Just a little thing that I wrote a while back and I thought that I should actually probably share it because it is no good if I just keep it to myself. I hope this gives you the light of truth in a time of darkness and that God moves within your life in whatever you are currently facing in life right now)

Did you know that when you break a bone it heals back stronger than before? New cells and blood vessels take the place of the damaged ones and a callus forms feeding Calcium into the fracture area until it is healed.

This applies to more areas than just in bones, one area particular that is more important than any other. Throughout our lives we will be tested. Some tests will be harder than others just as some breaks in the bone can be worst than other depend on the stress it experienced in the incident that it was broken. But nevertheless, the fracture will eventually heal whether it is in the bone or an injury that may be unnoticed by the human eye but is in fact more real that we will ever know.

James 1:2-4
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

I like to imagine God as an author, writing the story of humanity. In this book he has each and everyone one of our stories written in it. And just like any good writer, everything has a great purpose to play in the plot even though it may not be clear until you get to the end of a few more chapters. And just like any good story, the character must go through some sort of character development in order to accomplish what the writer has in store for them at the climax. It is only through the trials and challenges that the character faces that they are then strong enough to face the climax. It is only then that the characters can come out victorious.

Jeremiah 29: 11-14
"For I know the plans I have for you" —this is the Lord's declaration—"plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you"—this is the Lord's declaration—"and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you"—this is the Lord's declaration. "I will restore you to the place I deported you from."

Sometimes we are like the broke bone or the fallen hero. We have been pushed down time and time again for reasons we can't comprehend at times. But just as it says in Jeremiah 29, God only has plans for our future and our hope. Sometimes getting there is a struggle and even a battle at other times, but we can know when we charging into the fray that our God has our back no matter what. And no matter how batter or broke we come out, our spiritual self will come out even stronger than before if we allow God's truths to be instilled in us through the calm and through the storm.

In 2 Timothy 4:16-18 Paul writes an encouraging note to Timothy saying:
"At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

Our God has not and will not desert us. He has been by the sides of our brothers and sisters since the beginning of time and he will be until the end and even after that.
