"Yeah, this one here only missed my heart by a couple of inches," he said.
"Oh wow," I exhaled.
"McCarthy," he called.
"Yeah?" I looked at him.
"You're drooling," he grinned.
"What? Me no way! Over you? Never!" I exclaimed.
"That's what they all say when they see these beauties," he let go of his shirt.
"Like I said before, I'm not one of those girls," I said.

"Who said I was talking about girls?" He asked.
"Eeew," I laughed.
"I'm kidding," he joined me.
"Oh I almost forgot," I stood up.
"You better not come back in wearing your sexy underwear," he winked.
"You haven't changed a bit," I went upstairs.
"Do I have to close my eyes this time?" He asked as he heard me coming down.

"If you wanna," I said.
"What's this?" He asked as I handed him a box.
"Open it," I smiled.
"Oh, it's your stuff," he frowned as he opened it.
"Yeah of course, what did you think?" I asked.
"I thought it was a gift for me, wait! Why do you have my favourite book?" He asked.
"You gave it to me you dummy," I went to the kitchen to get the juice.

"Oh, I gave you all this stuff?" He asked.
"Yes," I sighed.
"The thing is," he paused.
"What?" I asked as I handed him a glass.
"You're right, you're not just any girl I've been with or who wants me, I never waste money on girls not even a penny, but look at this, I gave you my precious book. The author signed it to finding love and I ripped it of because I didn't believe in it anymore and then came you," he said.

"Alex-" he cut me off.
"I understand that we're not dating and I respect that now let's not make things awkward and boring," he said.
"Right," I exhaled.
"A bookmaker of me, now that's like me,hey?" He smiled.
"Totally," I smiled back.
"What else did you make me do?" He asked.
"I made you buy me a dress and pay for lunch," I smiled.
"What?" He exclaimed.

"Have I ever tickled you before?" He asked.
"Once," I exhaled.
"Then it means we kissed before," he smirked.
"Alex-" he cut me off.
"You're not like other girls, I get it," he smiled.
"Exactly," I said. I'm glad we on the same page now.
"Maybe that's changed," he stood up.
"Don't you dare!" I exclaimed.
"I'm coming," he got closer to me and I ran.

"Alex you don't want to see me mad!" I yelled.
"I kinda do because I've forgotten that furious image of yours," he chased after me.
"Alex please," I begged as he cornered me.
"I'm sorry," he smirked as he started to tickle me.
And like last time I tried to bite my lip but the sounds he was making made me erupt with laughter.

"Do you want me to stop," he asked.
"Please," I said in between laughs.
"Promise me you won't be mad," he said.
"I promise," I said.
"What was that?" He tickled harder.
"I promise!" I yelled.
He let me go and I just paused for a second. Then came that scene in the movies where you exchange breaths and are about to kiss. Fortunately, I always stick to my words.'I'm not one of those girls'
"You're an idiot," I exhaled as I went to sit down.
"Thank you," he smiled.
"Don't you ever do that again," I exhaled.
"Fine," he smiled.

I collapsed on the couch and caught my breath. I'm glad I didn't release any gas on either openings.
"I also have another thing for you," I grabbed my phone.
"Wow, you were prepared," he smirked.
"Turn down the volume," I said as I played our song. Feels good to say 'our' song!
The moment it played we both began to sing, him perfectly and me, I don't know.
And then came the part where we sing:

...Try to deny it as much as we want but in time, our feelings will show... Almost, almost is never enough we were close to being in love.

Those two parts make me wonder if it's true. Were we really close to being in love? Do I have feelings for him? If so will they ever show? To tell you the truth, I know the answers to these questions but I'm afraid of them. I'm afraid to admit them.
"You could have just played me this song than to tell the whole story," he said.
"You have got to be kidding me!" I exclaimed.
"I'm serious, this is the perfect summary," he smiled.
