I can hear the sound of my sole as it traipse its way deeper than the edge of the forest. I can hear my breathing harder and my heartbeat faster as I made my way into the forest. I can't back down – not right now because this is my escape, my refuge, my world. This is where I belong.

I can feel the summer breeze as I indulge myself with nature; as I feel the trees embracing me as its own. I wish everything was easy like this, just like the leaves dancing every time the wind blows. Unlike the world we live in where money defines who you are, where your riches and jewels destine our path. It is money that divides humanity. It is what I am trying to run away from.

Behind the lenses of the camera we see a different world. Every snap of it has its own story, and every moment that passes by is a treasure we could seek but never find. I capture the biodiversity around me; the serene and aesthetic forest surrounding me. I capture the leaves falling off of the tree, squirrels rushing back home, birds soaring above the clouds, and even the old house that sends chills down my spine. Why? Because they all tell a story unseen by the naked eye.

I found it! I was looking for this for a long time now. Its colors and heart-shaped leaves make me forget reality for a while. It makes me forget how we are all confined in this sh**ty world. I, then, captured every detail of my favorite Basswood tree.

Exploring the forest even more, I came to the other side of this enthralling forest. There, I found the most ravishing house I have ever seen in my life. I fell down on my knees. I never knew such masterpiece could exist right before my eyes. I tried to take in every single detail of this manor-like house – from the large windows and wooden walls to the wooden door covered with engraved symbols. I grasped every detail of this perfection in front of me.

I looked around and found a tree. I was about to capture it when something mysterious caught my eye. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but soon I realized a silhouette lying underneath the tree. I thought this would be a lovely add-on to my collection so I decided to capture the scenery before me as quietly as I could, careful not to disturb the person. Unfortunately, my camera was uncooperative and made the clicking sound.

The person lying under the tree suddenly looked at me – his ferocious eyes locking onto mine. He got up from his feet and I hurriedly ran away from him. Far from that guy. Far from that place. The place I once thought I belonged.

"You're home early. I thought you'd come home late today, Kody?"
"Nothing, nana." I said as I rushed to my bedroom. I laid my head on my pillow and suddenly my thoughts went back to what happened earlier this morning. Before I drifted to sleep, his face flashed before my eyes. Then, I blacked out.
