The Ruby Dagger

This is the myth of Blade, a river nymph with a fiery personality, whose ruby dagger was stolen.

      Blade was a river nymph, but she had a secret. When she arrived at Camp Half–Blood it was obvious to everyone that she was a nymph but no one could figure out of what element. She knew but she trusted no one with her secret.

      The thing was, she was the most powerful nymph on Earth. Although a water nymph, she had a godly parent. Her godly parent was none–other than Hades himself. Blade’s mother died and only object of hers remained. A ruby dagger.

      It all happened on a cold, dark, windy night. While Blade was sleeping, an intruder slipped in. It was a dark haired, green eyed boy, dressed all in black. He knew Blade’s true identity and he planned on destroying her.

      He had watched her day and night. He knew her Schedule from top to bottom and bottom to top. What she did everyday and in what order she did it, he knew it. He knew her enough to know where she hid the dagger. He also knew that she was a really light sleeper, so he had to be extremely careful.

      Once inside, he started walking through the house. First, he went to the living room where he knew the girl kept a portal. He oponed it to make sure he had an easy escape. Most half–bloods wouldn’t know how to work portals, but he did… after all, he was a Nephilim.

      Afterwards, he went to the room where he knew she hid the dagger. When he got there he tried to open the door, but it was locked. He did a few opening runes and it opened. He went inside and there, in the middle of the room encased in a glass case, was the ruby dagger. He carefully went over to the glass case and opened it. He had gotten the dagger, at last! With the dagger in hand, he left.

     The next morning, Blade awoke and did her usual morning routine. She went to unlock the door but it was already open. “No. No, no, no, no, NO!” she cried out. It was gone, the last thing she had of her mother was GONE.

     She searched for for days but no one had seen someone suspicious. Everyone had told her to give up but to no avail.

        “ I WILL find it mum, I promise I will.”
