Looking down from my window I could see a horse rush up the cobblestone steps to deliver most likely a letter for my father. Losing my sense of logic I decided to investigate. I crept down the stairs to where the messenger should be waiting creeping along the cold stone walls I could barley see anything and my dress snagged on one of paintings frames. Stopping to see how awkward a position I was in and how to get out without ripping my dress I did not see a maid coming. She took one look at my situation and quickly unhooked my dress before walking off obviously annoyed by my stupidity.

Somehow, despite my delay, I managed to get to the door before the King and opened it to see an small tired boy holding an envelope addressed to my father.
"Hello I am Princess Rose and if you like I can deliver that letter to my father for you."
"Ok....thank....you..." he replied gasping for breath. I shut the door and started to make my way to the throne room where my father currently was. Along the way curiosity got the best of me and I tried to open the envelope in the most unnoticeable way possible. The letter said "Please help us on the battlefield. After another of Usmon's random attacks we are left with only half our men. I suggest you send a spy to learn more about King Luke so we might be able to predict his attacks and win." Shocked I carefully put the letter back in the envelope and walked to the throne room. The war has been so hard on this kingdom and all because of Gabriella. I could remember when it first started eight years ago like it was yesterday.

Father had sent another of his most trusted counsel members to try and explain our position to King Luke.
But he never made it back from his trip and the next day a small town close to the border burned to ground killing almost everyone after an angry Usmonen troop decided that invading our country wasn't enough. Two people ran to the castle doors burned bloody and bruised to tell us what had happened and father was furious. He immediately sent our troops to destroy one of their towns as pay back and they did but were met by a group Usmonen soldiers after. They starting fighting and we lost many good soldiers. The war only got worse from there with more and more people fighting and dying.
