In 1953, there was once a small town out in the country. It was a peaceful town; everyone knew each other since it was so small. The nearest town from them was for miles, which they thought it was perfect because they would have more privacy. The little town was a patch of heaven on earth to all who lived in it.

This one little family in particular just moved there to start a new family. A young married couple with a little girl and another child on the way. The house they lived in was small, but, to them, they thought it was the perfect home with no worries to bother them. On one summer day, the wife was outside with her family doing laundry as her husband and little girl played. The sun was shining brightly yet it was not unbearably hot like most summer days. All that could be heard that early afternoon was the laughter of the father and daughter as he was pretending to be a monster trying to catch her. This always made the daughter happy and put a huge smile on her face just as big as her parents. They were all happy and filled with delight like any normal day for them, but it was cut short when their daughter let out a blood curdling scream. The wife stopped what she was doing immediately and looked over to where her daughter should be, but only to see men dressed in all white surrounding her husband and her child.

The husband was protecting their daughter fighting them off the best he could with only his bare fists. Knowing she had to do something, the wife ran over and tried running down the hill to them, but was only to be caught her by her arms by two men. She screamed out loud for her family and tried to break free from the grip she was in as hard as she could, but as her fighting was dashed by a single shot.

She stood there frozen as she watched her husband fall to the ground dead cold. A puddle of blood slowly started to form around his body as the blood poured from his chest. She looked right into her husband's cold dead eyes, that matched his frighten expression on his face, as she looked for any signs of life, but there was none. Tears started to run down her cheeks, but she never noticed that she began to cry. Fear was all she could feel at the moment as it felt like her whole world was crashing down. With fear pumping adrenaline into her veins she tried once more to get out of their grip, but she was stopped by sharp pain hitting the back of her head making her fall to the ground. Before passing out completely she outstretches her hand to her daughter calling her name.

"Hope," she called out weakly, but her voice falls silent along with her hand hitting the ground in defeat.

The last thing she remembers hearing, before falling into black darkness, is her daughter's screams and a loud gunshot.

After what seemed like hours, the darkness slowly faded away as her eyes opened. Her vision was blurry and still adjusting to the light when she slowly lifted her head. However, she had to immediately put it back down with the splitting pain at the back of her head. It felt like her head was being split in two.

To ease the pain, she tried raising her right hand to try to soothe the pain, but it wouldn't move. She looked down and noticed she was bound to a table by leather straps. A wave of shock and fear got her fully awake. She started to struggle against her restraints, but it was useless. The ropes were too tight around her wrists and ankles and most of her energy was knocked out of her with that massive blow to her head. Besides if she got panicked than what she was already it could hurt her unborn child.

She didn't want that to happen, so she laid straight on the table letting the coolness from it calm her down. But the chill from the table made her sick. She felt as if she was some sort of animal experiment you see students do. It didn't help the fact that she was also wearing a hospital gown and her original clothes were nowhere in sight.

Thoughts were the only thing that could possibly make her calm. Happy thoughts filled her mind, but most of them was that of her family. Her vision became blurred once more, but from the tears starting to form in her eyes. The memory of her husband dying played in her mind once more and her baby girl screaming. The memory made a sharp pain went through her chest that was more painful than the on her head.
