"Love you hun!", my mom said as I went out the door. I was on my way to highschool as I saw a sign which said "God hates straights". I never was a believer but it kinda bothered me.

I was confused.

I've never thought about being straight before.
"Hi Jon!", It was Kyle who interrupted me. "Oh, Hi Kyle", I replied as he comes closer. "Nice sign that you're looking at. Fuck off straight assholes!"

Kyle is my best friend and really cool. The other boys think he's hot. But I only think he's nice and kind. He's just not my type. At least sometimes.

"Let's go. We'll be late.", he said
We silently walked past the roads and buildings as I saw a man and a women kissing each other. "That's disgusting!", offered Kyle and choked. I saw a policemen interrupting them. Then he divorced both.
"C'mon Jonathan. We're already late!". I hesitated.

As we arrived at school I saw all the happy couples. They've never spend time about thinking they could be straight. I feel sick.

"What's wrong, weirdo?", Kyle whisperd while sitting in the history class, which by the way is my favourite class.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You've been like paralysed the whole day. Like a weirdo. Seriously, what's wrong?"

I realised it very quick; I cant tell him yet. I didn't even know it by myself for sure. There could be a possibility of me being straight. First of all I've never had a boyfriend. Second of all I've never thought of having one. And last but not least I always adore women, which actually makes sense because they're so damn beautiful and clever.

"Jonathan and Kyle!", said Mr. Finch "You can't just chat about your relationship while sitting in my class. You're interrupting my lesson!"
Kyle and I looked at each other and nodded, embarrassed.

Later on I got asked by Elliott if we would go to prom at the end of this semester and I agreed.
I feel kinda guilty now. Like I would betray somebody.
What's wrong with me?

"Hello sweetie!", my mom said as I arrived at home. "How was your day?"
She smirked at me. "Good. It was a good day. Why are you smirking? Did something happend? Are you pregnant again?", I joked. "No Jon. Guess who has moved into our neighborhood!"
"I don't know, Trump and his husband?", I laughed ironically
"It's Mary! You went in kindergarten with her! She was your little tiny bestie!", she said in a high pitched voice. "Aaaand. They're going to come over tonight!"
"Oh that's cool, but I wanted to go to Kyle his dads got a new TV and-"
"No! I expect you to be here! They're old friends of mine!"

Yes mom, friends of yours.

"Alright.",I nodded unwillingly. "Fine, I put the new suit you've got from mom on your bed. Try it!", she shouted while I was already on my way to my room.

When I came in I directly threw my bag in the corner next to my table and fell on my bed.
The damn suit.

-

"It's so tight and uncomfortable.", I said later that eveing. "Well, then you have to feel comfortable only for this evening.", my mom, who I got this from, said.
"Don't be rude!", my other mom said.

The door bell rang.

"Wow, Rose! It's been a long time since we've seen each other!", the older lady with the pink coat said when my mom opened up our frontdoor.
I think it's Marys mom.
I rolled my eyes.
"It's kind of weird, isn't it?", Mary said as she suddely popped out next to me. I looked at her. She's beautiful. I remember her now and she is as pretty as she used to be in kindergarten.
Her green eyes are like grass in the dawn. Her red hair is as straight as I am and her lips are shiny.
Wait. Did I just thought that her hair is as straight as I am?
What.

"Are you okay? Do you feel sick?", she asked worried. "Yeah, everythings fine now. Thanks.", I replied "Well, then we should take a seat shall we?", her hand pointed to the table. Her mom and my moms were still busy in the kitchen, so I asked her a few questions.

"So, why did you moved here again?"

"It's not that easy, you know.", she looked down to her hands. "My other mom betrayed us. But with a man.", she stopped. It shocked me. For a minute everything was quiet. "But its okay. So do I."

I didn't expected that at all. "What do you mean?", I asked confused.

"This with a man thing. I like men you know?", she didn't even blinked as she said that.

I could barely speak "So you - you're attracted to men?", i asked.

"Yes, but enough about that, I see you're uncomfortable with these kinds of themes. Its okay.", She said and smiled kindly.

"NO", I suddenly shouted. "I mean, I love to talk about themes like that, but - but you're the first person I know who is.."

"Straight?"

I paused and took a deep breath. "Yes." Both of us smiled.
