I kept running...

When I was born, I had a pretty normal life. I lived in my castle but over the years I learned life outside the castle walls were tough... But I knew I was safe as long as I stayed inside the castle walls, and listened to my parents.

My mom, Lizzie and my dad, Carter. They were good parents, but like all parents they had there down days... The days when  the townspeople came to complain about something, or the days when someone in the castle would fall ill, and of course when there was some threat around or in the castle.

But In the end everything was always okay. Then one day my little sister was born, My mom and dad decided to name her Jace. There was no special reason for the name, my parents just liked it and so did I.

I loved Jace more then anything! She was the best little sister, then one day on Jaces birthday our parents decided to suprise us with a new pet dog! We both loved that dog. Jace and I decided to name him Cracker because he loved eating crackers for some reasons... We never figured out why because sadly we didn't have him for long...

In the fall my sister got sick, and it got worse as the winter came, then one morning in January I walked downstairs to find my mother was crying in the kitchen, and my father was holding Jace in his arms. I didn't realize what had happened, and made a mistake when I asked my father what was wrong...

He looked up at me, his face filled with rage but his eyes looked sad and tired. He said in a calm tone "Hold your sister for a minute..." I could tell he was mad but I did as I was told and took Jace into my arms, I heard my father walking out of the room, and the slight muffle of him and my mother talking in the other room.

I looked down at Jace and she was cold, and she was pale with her eyes were closed... But still I had no clue of what was wrong with her, I tried waking her by nudging the side of her arm, but there was no movement... I tried moving her arm once again but she still didn't wake.

Then a thought crossed through my mind... I slowly looked up and my eyes widened slightly, after about a minute of starring off into the distance, I realized my grip the blanket around Jace had tightened and my hands were sore, my throat started hurting and my eyes were stinging as tears ran down my face... I slowly looked back at Jace and realized... She was dead...

My sweet baby sister was dead. She didn't deserve to die! She was so innocent, she couldn't have even harmed a simple fly! She would've lived a wonderful life! She was so beautiful, even though she was just a baby... I had then realized my mother and father were standing in the doorway looking at me. I looked my mother in the eye, I could see hurt, and regret... I knew she was thinking "I brought that baby into the world, and it was my job to keep her in this world..." I slowly moved my vision towards my father and I saw anger, but sadness as well, I knew he was probably thinking "How could this have happend?! My sweet little angle went from being a healthy, beautiful baby girl, to being sick and slowly dieing, and I didn't even know..."

I took one more look at Jace and thought "It was almost my birthday... I would've been 15... Jace if you come back I'll let you blow out my birthday candles! You can have the first peice of cake too! Just like we do every year..."  But still, she layed in my arms lifeless... I quickly walked towards my father and handed her Jace. I ran upstairs to my room and grabbed some food, I ran back downstairs and ran out the front gate. I could hear my parents yelling in the distance telling me to come back. I knew life outside the castle walls were dangerous but I didn't care... I ran and when I got to the gate, I ordered the gaurds to open it. At first they didn't want to because they knew I wasn't supposed to go beyond the castle walls, but eventually they opened the gate and I ran towards the woods.
I kept running until I grew tired, and I had realized I was lost. I had no idea of where I was, but I was sure the castle gaurds would come look for me and I would be safe, I sat beside a tree, and slowly fell asleep. Until I woke up to footsteps...

I really love this song, so that's why I used it XD I hope you guys like this book so far, I'm trying a lot harder to write it because I know I suck at writing :P but I'm trying! Hopefully you guys think it's good! I'm really hoping you do ^-^
