A/N: Ooookay... This is kinda embarrassing because I got up in front of a group of people and preformed this after writing and memorized this in one night and it's fan fiction. It's about how much I love Barry Allen. I don't own The Flash or DC comics. God, I hope none of the Flash cast members find this- okay on with it:
I don't even remember when it started, I think I loved Barry even before I knew what love was. He was always so wonderful, even when we were really little. He would always race me to the swings during recess, Barry let me win everyday and he'd push me because my feet couldn't touch the ground. One day I tripped and skinned my knee, he stopped running right away and helped me get to the teacher, took me to the nurses' office and everything. Well- he and Iris did. Iris West, the golden girl, she's perfect, no surprise Barry's in love with her, they're not together though, never were. It's horrible when you have a crush on your best friend, it's even worse when that becomes love and they don't even consider you their best friend. I was- am- always the second choice, it didn't ever matter what it was, partnering in class, going to a movie, sitting next to each other on the bus, going to prom.
God, prom, that was the night I found out I was going to have a broken heart for a long time. Barry asked Iris to prom, but, she already had a date, so he went and asked his go to back up plan. Me. I was over the moon, I had been planning my prom night since I found out it existed. My hair was all done up, I wore a fancy dress, a locket Barry gave me in third grade for Christmas, I was ready to enjoy myself with Barry, dancing, laughing- maybe even a kiss. It went exactly how I planned, he kissed me during one of the slow dances- Take My Breath Away by Berlin, when it comes on the radio, sometimes I turn it off, sometimes I don't. I got everything I asked for that night, and it was perfect. You will never know how much it hurt the next day. I called him in the morning to tell him how much fun I had- and he hug up on me after explaining that Iris was at the door and that he had to go. At first I figured that she had a terrible night and needed her best friend, but after a few phone calls, I found out that Barry had kissed me to make her jealous and that Iris had a wonderful night and wanted to see Barry to tell him all about it. I avoided him for the rest of the month. He went left, I went right, he ate on one side of the cafeteria I ate on the other. The only place I couldn't escape was science class, it had been my favorite class, mostly because Barry and I won the science fair every year with our insane experiments. We were both going to major in forensics and we would test different poisons and blood, so when I asked Mrs. Henley to move my seat away from Barry she was extremely confused because apparently my interest was noticed by everyone but Barry. She moved me in the end, Barry asked me why I moved and why I had been avoiding him, I asked him why he even cared.
We did end up majoring in forensics, and it looked like the worst was over for me when we each went to different collages. Eventually I got a job at the city's police department, and my first day of work with the CCPD, I go up to my lab and who's sitting there? Barry. He hugged me and we talked like we did back in school like nothing had changed, until Iris came in with coffee. That's when I knew nothing really had changed. It was still Barry for Iris and me for Barry. Just the facts of life I suppose.

FanfictionA monologue I wrote that was actually just Flash fan fiction, its a story of unrequited love for someone in unrequited love. I don't own The Flash or DC comics, I wish I did, but I don't.
