Her mother's eyes gleamed with pride. The brightness of the world startled the young filly. A gasp filled the delivery room.
"An... Alicorn?"
"No way..."
"But I thought-"
Ponies gasped and gossiped as they stared at the filly. Her baby blue fur with hints of cool blue pierced their eyes. Her horn shimmered and her wings stretched. Her mother looked at her with glee and her father was crying tears of joy to see his newborn daughter.
As time flew on, the filly was growing and soon it was time to start school. Growing up in Canterlot with her mother, she went to Celestia's School of Magic. Her mind was racing as her mother brought her to the school.
Many ponies stared at her, Stallions, mares, and foals looked at her. Many whispered saying she was cursed and that she was just using some sort of fooling spell.
Celestia and Luna sat in the main hall of the school, it was time for the opening ceremony. "Welcome all our loyal and faithful students," Celestia started. "Today we invite you here to learn, make friends, and advance your magic."
Luna cleared her throat to talk, "Welcome, as you know I am Princess Luna. Today I welcome you with an open hoof and heart." She beamed and scanned the crowd, until something caught her attention, immediately sparking her to whisper to Celestia.
After talking for 2 minutes the two nodded and stood. "It would appear that we have someone special in the audience." Celestia smiled warmly. "Young Alicorn, state your name please." She gently commanded to the filly.
"I-I'm Aqua." Aqua rose slowly from her spot. Many of the other fillies scoffed a bit as they had seen what was possibly a princess. "Ah, you're the one who's caused talk between our teachers and students." The teachers seemed to turn a little red when she had brought it up.
The two princesses smiled and continued on. Aqua wasn't exactly the best at making friends. Everyone was either too timid to be around her, or just wanting no part of her at all at all. It greatly saddened the filly. That was until one day Princess Luna stopped her in the hall during a passing period.
"Aqua, would you come here please. I wish to talk to you." Luna smiled a bit. "S-sure..." Aqua looked up and followed Luna into a long hallway and into a door that was hidden behind a bookshelf.
Aqua's flowing tail swayed past an old bookshelf. Luna sat against the chair. "How's school been going?" Luna leaned forward to examine Aqua who was looking shyly at the ground had shaken her head a bit. "Not very good. No one seems to like me." Her ears drooped to the side.
"Are those other foals giving you trouble for being an Alicorn?" She looked at Aqua who was ready to burst into tears. "I don't know... I thought it was normal to be one till I was here and saw no one but you two as Alicorns." She sniffled and wiped her eye.
Luna smiled and wrapped her wing around Aqua's. "You're not the first to be born an Alicorn you know." She gave a light squeeze. "My niece as well was born an Alicorn." Aqua looked up at the smiling mare. "She was?" Aqua was stunned, "Yes. She was seen as unnatural." Luna looked out at the bright sun.
"Would you like something to make you seem a little more... Powerful?"
"What is it exactly?"
"Close your eyes and keep them shut.
