Jacob Webster is a twelve year old boy who's parents, Mary and Albert Webster, will not let him in a room that is in his basement. Jacob goes to a school in Dallas, Texas called Victor H Hexter Elementary School. His best friend, Greg, has always been there for him, especially when he found out that Jacobs dad had lung cancer. Albert was a heavy drinker and smoker and was jailed for two years, after he slugged Mary across the face, he was heavily drunk. The family still loves him even after the incident. Albert is currently home and now does not drink. And Greg was there when he found out that Jacobs mom was having surgery in her knee. Unlike Albert, Mary is not a heavy drinker or smoker. She only drinks wine, and that is only on Friday night. Jacob has been through a lot of tragedy.
