Ink Rain

Prologue

Illuvia, the city where it always rain. The city where the sky is always filled with clouds. The city where everyone's holding balloons. Why, you ask? The balloons represents their hearts, their personalities, their souls. The color of the balloons determines how people will treat each other.

Some like to stay in groups of the same color. Some needs to have a group consists of more than two colors. Some prefers primary colors only. Some prefers secondary or tertiary colors. Some enjoys grouping with bright colors, while others enjoy darker colors.

With difference, comes discrimination. Since colors are the only way to define one's soul, it is often said that those with darker hearts have impure thoughts and such. The brighter the color, the better everyone treats the owner.

Many have tried to paint their balloons, and actually succeeded. The problem was, once someone knows your true color, the news will spread quickly, and in the span of one day, the whole city will find out about it.

Those who painted too many layers of paints might forget what their true color is.

And it's even more painful when you know you have the color that everyone avoids.

Black.

Sevvy. Sevvila Hangelson. A normal, 12 years old girl. Everyone in her middle school used to know her as the 'sun girl', because of her yellow balloon. Many wanted to be her friend, and she gladly accepted them all.

Then, one day, a tragedy happened. A chain murderer killed her whole family when she was at school, leaving her as the only survivor. Since that day, her balloon gradually turns darker, darker and darker every day.

Until it was black. Pitch black. Just like her true color that she had forgotten. And yet, she didn't care at all. Everyone starts to leave her, one by one, and she never cared.

Now Sevvy is 15, and she's entering high school.
