***Hey guys I'm new at this so please bare with me and give me a chance!***
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It's six in the morning. I have a long day ahead of me. Today is my first day of work and I'm terrified. I get up and walk to my bathroom I wash my face and brush my teeth like I normally do. I go back to my room and plug in my curling iron, I create some big loose curls that add volume to my long brown hair
And put on some make up, more then I normally do but still looks good in the end. I decided to wear my fitted navy blue dress that brings out my curves with some nude heels. As I finish up my look for today I grab my clutch and my keys and head to my car; Mercedes Benz. As I step out the blazing sun hits my face and I take in the lwarm weather. As I make my way down the familiar busy streets of California I spot the tall building with at least one hundred floors. My heart starts pumping as I make my way to the huge door that says "main entrance" I push it open and soon hit by the busy crowds scattered everywhere.
I walk towards the lady who seems to be In another world.
"Name?" She barks. "Melanie young, today's my first day" I say to her, immediately her eyes go wide as she scans my body up and down as if she's seen a ghost? She picks up the office phone and starts mumbling, I can't quite make out what's she's saying so I stand there awkwardly taking in my surroundings. I've only been in here twice and it's still intimidating. "Go right through the elevators all the way to the 70th floor" she says. I thank her and walk away. As I'm making my way to the elevator I spot some new art being looked over by a group of men who are actually quite hot. I may like it here after all. The doors open and a flood of people come out I rush in and close the doors not wanting anyone to come in with me. I press the "70" button and wait to what seems like forever until the doors open again. I walk out and on this floor there's not so many people in it just a couple people with suitcases or folders in their hands.
I walk up to the blonde at the desk and I'm immediately greeted by her smile. "You must be Melanie young?" She says. "Yes that's me," we both laugh. "If you follow me I'll show you to your office" what? My office? Could this get any better? I follow her to what seems to be a short walk she opens the door and welcomes me inside saying this is my new office. I take a second to take everything in and immediately I fall in love. I have a huge window behind my really big dark red office desk and some nice chairs to go along and some nice paintings on the wall that add to the room. "The boss will be here in a minute to welcome you and to get you started" the blonde says.
Oh no! The boss. I remember him from my interview. I was very intimated by him he would always stare at me weirdly and smile, but I couldn't help but stare back and stutter every time I talked because of how gorgeous he was. His beautiful brown hair brushed to one side and his beautiful ocean blue eyes with eyelashes that I long for and nice shaped beard that just made his appearance much more appealing, he stood tall in his dark great suit lean and what seemed to be built. I'll never forget that day because I was practically drooling over him and kept losing my ability to speak because I was so taken back by him. Lost in my thoughts I didn't realize that the blonde had stepped out of the room.
I'm still standing in the middle of the room and moments later I find my self staring at Mr. Thomas, my boss. "Good morning Melanie, how's your morning?" He says with his teeth shining through his bright smile. "Good morning Mr. Thomas I'm doing lovely, you're self? I say. Shit shit shit don't mess up I keep telling my self. "I'm wonderful thanks for asking, by the way you look stunning today". I can't help but blush and look away. He gives me a list of art to look over and see which one has potential and is worth to invest in. "Choose which ever you please and hand me the list at the end of each day for my last over looking to choose, expect to have a different list each day and to do the same thing" he says. "Oh and we may do light traveling to actually go look at different art pieces at different art shows, I'll be taking you along with me including Merlin" which I'm assuming is the blonde. "To have you gain more experience" he says and smiles. Damn that smile I don't think it'll ever get over. I agree and thank him and get started.
I looked over some art pieces and they're actually pretty good but one caught my eye the most. It's what seems to be different features from different people molded into one picture. I choose that as personal favorite. I didn't realize that I skipped lunch and that the day has come to and end its seven in the evening and that's when I get to go home. As I gather my stuff I make my way to Mr. Thomas's office to drop off the papers.
To my surprise he's still there. I knocked on the already opened door and he looks up and that smile is plastered on his face. within seconds and I can feel the heat coming off my face. I walk in and hand him the papers. "Had a lovely first day?" He says breaking the silence. I smiled and said "yes it's only my first day and I'm loving this job" he smiles again, " good I'm glad to see that you're liking it". I smiled and said our goodbyes. As I was walking out the door he stopped me "you really do look lovely in that dress Mrs. Young" he says and I almost tripped catching me by surprise. A little laugh escapes his mouth I blush thank him and walk out.
I make my way down to my car and get in, pulling out of the now empty lot and making my way home.
