This was the starting of a new , but beautiful phase in her life . She entered her new home holding her husband's hand , which was a well built bunglow .
One week passed like one day . Both of them enjoyed their starting of new married life .
Jonathan had to join his duty . He left for his job early in the morning and returned late in the night but she never complained because he never make her feel lonely . She believed in his love . She understands that he is busy in his work .
One year passed like this . Now , behaviour of Jonathan became rude towards her . He shouted at her on small things . He did not return to home for four - four days . She is now a used tissue - paper for him but she kept loving him . He was her god . She believed one day her faith will win and he will change .
At that time revolution had began . Indians wanted their freedom . They wanted britishers to return their country . Indians were trying their best to throw East India Company out of their country , India .
On another hand , she was feeling sick from some days . One day she fainted . Jonathan called doctor . He examined her and declared that she was pregnant . She was filled with joy and happiness on this news . However , Jonathan doesn't seem happy at all .
After this news he rarely returned home , but now her baby was her only world and Jonathan was busy in Indian - Britishers wars .
After so much conflicts , struggle and fights , We Indians won on 15th August , 1947 . After our independence , East India Company and Britishers have to left our country and so Jonathan had to .
He never thought one's , to take his pregnant wife along with him to his country . He was happy at the thought of leaving her here , in India .
He just wrote a letter to her and left because now he was not interested in her . He had used her beauty completely and now he doesn't want to carry a burden with him .
His letter said -
" My dear wife
I had to leave . Time spent with you was great . I really enjoyed your company . But now that I have spent so much time with you and you are also pregnant , you are no use to me . I am leaving this country and some money for you and your baby .
live your life happily .
Jonathan "
She fainted on reading that letter . When she regain consciousness, everything had slipped from her hands like sand . The man whom she loved so much , left her for no reason . She had left his father , Her home , even her religion for him and what did he do to her in return . He left her here alone when the East India Company left and left her heart - broken .
