Inside the house

WHO IS THERE?

Me and his friends walked into the house we naturally wiped their feet as the house was so clean. We walked in and looked around at the grand room I and my friends had just walked into, the lights were old Victorian oil lamps out on tables. They were already lit lighting up the clean room.

Then suddenly the lights went out then I and my friends stayed close together making their way to one of the lamps using the single bit of light coming from one of the shattered windows. We grabbed one of the lights and went through some of the draws on the table, we managed to find some matches in one of the draws, I lit the lantern and we took another look around the room and to our amazement the room was what we expected cobwebs and all.

We were all in shock that the room we now stand in is covered in cobwebs and mould up the walls, when it first started out as a lovely clean room with not a mark on it. We huddled together more as we didn't know what was going on.

We turned to the old creaky door we came in and it slammed shut behind us. Then we looked around we room again, the room was still in an old broken state, the table where we got the lantern from had collapsed on the floor and rotted.

I decided to walk to one of the doors that were basically falling off it's hinges, as soon as I touched the door it hit the floor with a loud bang. We all jumped in surprise, but as I had the lantern I went in first looking around the room. And there was an old chair there which had a small side table with a glass on it, but the glass was still warm like it had just been poured, which made us think that David was still there alive.

But the room I had just entered had broken floorboards and the curtains were ripped on one side like something was trying to get out the windows and escaped. We all held hands walking to the door again and there was a creepy figure there. Then the door slammed in front of the figure which scared us as the door was on the floor...

We all walked to the door slowly not wanting it to swing open with that figure still there. I pushed on the door but it opened to a clean room where everything was in the correct place and not broken. We thought we were hallucinating.

We all slowly stepped out of the room and looked around to notice that the rooms had moved around, so I decided to split up into two groups, I and two of my friends went up the creaky old stairs watching for the broken ones. The other three went to look in the other rooms down stairs so then we could see what would happen if we were in different rooms.

As it was a large house there were more rooms than there were people in it, but Me and the other two stayed close together looking around as the old wooden floor boards creaked under our feet then we stopped walking but the floor boards were creaking behind us. We chose not to turn around and we walked faster into a room closing the door behind us. The chance we got we looked round the room it was all tidy and everything looked like it had a place but then it had cobwebs and dust on the book shelves and then on the mattress there was an indent of a person like one had been burnt there or laid there for a couple years.

This didn't make us feel any safer but we looked out the windows to see that the street lamps were still on and a creature like a fox run across the foot path. We turned away from the window and saw note on a desk, I read some of the notes allowed "you shouldn't have come to this house...why did you come to my house???" I skimmed though the rest of the notes all in the same hand writing then I saw one that said "you must leave if you can find the front door " They were all signed at the bottom Mr. D. Hidden.

By the looks of the letters the hand writing got messy but it was certainly done by the same person. We all quickly walked to the door that we had shut and we turned the door knob slowly...but the door wouldn't open so we continued to try and open the door. We tried for about an hour before the door finally opened...as to our surprise the house hadn't changed one bit we quickly walked down the stairs looking for the others.

I managed to convince the two that I was with to get out now, whilst I look for the others, so I ended up alone with a single oil lamp in hand and one match left. I looked around for the others but I couldn't find them some of the rooms were tidy, some of them old and broken I was surprised to the variety of different things in the rooms.

I saw a metal door and I dared to push it open I looked in, and I found Mr. Hidden's laboratory there were test tubes and skulls on shelves. This made me feel uneasy as I closed the door deciding not to go into that room any further. I continued to look for my friends.

Finally I found them all in one room with a large fireplace which was lit giving light to the room and all it's old beautiful features. Like the hand carved fire place itself. I spoke to my friends and showed them the notes. We all ran to the door when they said they didn't light the fire and the door was locked from the other side. I ran to the window seeing the other two I had sent out before and they went to the window as we tried opening it from both sides then everything went black...I couldn't see my friends or any of the room.

None of them were talking which made me think the worst had happened to them or that I had been knocked out...or they were all dead. I couldn't believe I let myself think that because when the lights came back on I saw all my friend on the other side of the window...but I was still on the inside.

I walked to the door and went through it and then I walked to the front door opening it and looking at my friends, they had all started to walk away without me so I tried catching up with them but I fell on one of the floor boards down the broken teeth like stairs of the porch hitting my head...

Then it continues again...I'm stuck in a loop ofwhat happened the day....I died.
